you guys are both retarded, that ball went behind his head and he wasn’t even positioned properly as he was going away from the net. Fuck sakes I swear do you guys only watch football and not play? That entire first half Dzeko’s movement is the only reason we had any chances. He was by far the most effective player on the pitch even though there was a few times he could have done better.
Is it me or does everyone here just look at speed and scoring goals lol, lot more to the game

Feel lucky to have 1 point and bad to miss 3 points at the same time. I think this will be the theme of this season

I totally get you but this reminds me when there were similar arguments at the same time last year when people were blaming Lautaro and Alexis poor finishing for dropping points. Sure the finishing should have been better but this isn't the big picture. The main problem is the leaky defence. Despite our poor finishing we still scored 2 goals today but in the end it wasn't enough.

Something similar happened at Marassi. Despite our poor performance in attack we still managed to score 2 goals. But it wasn't enough to get us the win. There will be times our forwards will have great games and take up their chances. Everything will look great in those matches. But there will also be times their finishing is going to be poor. It's normal. We don't have City or Bayern attack. In those games you're going to need your defence to get the win. With the way we play we will keep dropping points in those games and we will blame the forwards.

But the reality is we can't expect to outscore the opponent in every single game.

All in all, it's a good result. The kind of goals they scored, any of the legendary Inter teams would concede. 2-2 is fair.

Even though the decisions were right themselves he totally lost the plot throughout the game yet again for both teams.
Our defense is too leaky, and I am not a fan of Bastoni and Skriniar going too far forward and building up every attack starting from Handanovic. There has to be a solution for this.

Dimarco and Dumfries were really good, don't understand why Inzaghi always plays Perisic and Darmian. Dumfries gives me Cuadrado vibes, he's always dangerous and never looses the ball.

Final Stats: Inter 19 shots, 6 on target, 49% possession, pass accuracy 78%, 3 yellows, 13 fouls and 4 corners. Atalanta 21 shots, 5 on target, 51% possession, pass accuracy 79%, 5 yellows, 11 fouls and 11 corners.

A point v Atalanta is a good result, we haven't lost which is good. There are some positives to take from it as well as negatives. I feel Dzeko had a good game to be fair, I knew he would play the 90 and I aint mad about it. Like Correa's appearances Sanchez didn't seem to have any impact at all, another one of those games unfortunately. Dimarco missing the penalty hurts, hopefully he will mature from the miss and not spunk the next one, I have confidence if he steps up again. I aint blaming the ref or linesmen for the result but damn they had bad games, so many wrong decisions and thank goodness for VAR on Atalanta's 3rd I screamed its went out and I honestly thought it wasn't going to get pulled back. I thought Handanovic had a good game overall, happy with his performance, Barella played some really nice passes, Skriniar played well again. I feel SDV is slipping in his game this season but still have full confidence in him and our defence.

Off topic but is it just me who can’t find the Barella thread?

Few notes about this absolute retard of a game:

1) Dzeko was fucking disgusting. Should've scored in the 3rd minute, should've easily squared the ball to Perisic shortly after Lautaro's goal but instead he miscontrolled it like the fucking cretin he is. In the 95th minute, he had a completely FREE header from 6 yards out but completely missed the fucking target.

Then, right at the final seconds of the game, he had the chance to pass to Dumfries who could've put one last cross into the box. Instead, he miscontrolled the ball again, lost possession, and the ref blew for full time, robbing us of our desperate last chance.

With the exception of tapping the ball in for his goal and "winning" the penalty (which was more of a retarded gift from Demiral) he didn't put a fucking single foot right today.

2) This is why I've taken a firm anti-Calhanoglu stance since the second we were linked to him. A starting player for a Milan side which finished second, decent stats, on a free transfer? A classic Marotta move but this was only ever a "good" move on paper. Anyone who watched this shitter at Milan knows that he is absurdly frustrating and a complete hack under pressure. If he can't handle the pressure of a Milan whose goal was 4th place, how the fuck is he to handle the pressure of being at the champions looking to defend their title?

There is a reason I made fun of Milanisti talking up Calhanoglu last year, like the stats could ever mask his obvious deficiencies and ludicrous inconsistency. Fucking losers gushing about "most chances created in Europe" the guy had one good calendar year from January 2020 until he caught COVID in January 2021. Outside of that one anomalous 12 months, this is his usual standard.

I'm incensed that we were stupid enough to take the bait of this good-on-paper opportunity without realising he is a Lazio-level player at best. 3 years of this cunt on €5m He will go the way of Joao Mario because no one will buy him with those performances not to mention that absurd wage. Another black hole of losses.

I am the biggest Vecino hater on this forum but I would sign on the dotted line right now for Vecino to start the remaning 32 games of the season if I could. As much as I criticise Vecino for his wayward passing and non-existent defending, the guy doesn't get fazed by pressure like Calhanoglu does. If Inzaghi has a shred of meritocracy in the way he selects his team, Vecino should be starting the next match.

3) Skriniar was shite IMO. Disappointing game, way too casual and complacent. I was furious about his fucking dickhead pass which lead to Atalanta's cancelled goal but how ironic that it turned out to be our saving grace.

4) Handanovic is so fucking done it's not even funny or sad, it's just distasteful. The best thing he did to today was fail to save Malinovskyi's goal - because he actually dived for a fucking change. Other then that, how many times was he caught ball-watching like a statue? De Roon's early chance which went just wide. Malinovskyi's free kick which hit the post. Ilicic's low dragged shot which slowly rolled just past the far post. He has completely lost that instinct to hurl himself at a shot. His body just does not react in time anymore.

It's not just the (lack of) diving, it's the complete lack of faith he has in himself at this stage. It's clear he no longer trusts himself. He has lost all his surety when it comes to claiming 50-50 balls and his uncertainty just stinks up the fucking joint. I don't care if we have to pay out our nose, just get that Onana cunt or some other dipshit at January. Sure we'd save some money by getting him on a free 6 months later but those 6 months may be the difference between meeting our objectives and not.

5) Finally that defense is fucking abominable. At this point I'm shocked to say I'd almost consider Milan scudetto favorites - purely because you CAN NOT win titles defending like this. They seem the most non-retarded team right now.

Say what you want about Milan, despite what those deluded shitters think, there's no way in hell they have better individual players than us. But they defend much, much better as a unit right now. There's a sense of calm and security and rigidity when they defend. With us, it's like Swiss cheese with gaping holes everywhere.

I have not seen our defense this porous in years. It is legitimately shocking. Everywhere you look there's these fucking 10m circles of space for opponents to exploit. No one is moving, no one is closing down except for Brozovic. It always looks like we're playing with a man down when we defend because the way we cover space and block channels is so disgustingly unsuccessful.

We're going the way of an Atalanta at this point, or more aptly Inzaghi's Lazio - a team which scores a ton but can't defend for shit.
