This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are considering a move for the versatile 27-year-old to reinforce the left-wingback position as early as January, and that he would be a possible long-term successor to Matteo Darmian.
Inter have yet to find a fully convincing solution on the left flank after the departure of Ivan Perisic, with Robin Gosens yet to find his best form and both Darmian and Federico Dimarco not seen as perfect options either.
Mazzocchi has impressed on the left of an in-form Salernitana side so far this season, having joined from Venezia in the summer, but then been moved to the left side from his customary right-wingback position following the arrival of Antonio Candreva.
The 27-year-old has shown his adeptness on the left and his versatility, whilst his quality has shone through as he has bagged one goal and one assist so far this season.
