Oddly enough, I find myself thinking of something Brehme repeats ad nauseum. Perhaps the quality gap between Serie A and the EPL isn't as large as everyone makes it out be. Sure, finals are cagey. But a 35 year old Acerbi put the most prolific striker in the world in his pocket. Onana outplayed Ederson in every way. Before the match, Universe shared a "fan vote" photo of the final where the fans voted the best XI between our two clubs, the result which was 11 City players. Based strictly on last night's match, I would only put 4 City players in that XI.
Some city players are overrated as fuck and it's really been bothering me lately. This team is nowhere near the great pep barca teams etc. An old gundogan has been a star player for them this year ffs. That is more indicative on how the overall level europe wise has fallen rather than how amazing gundogan is (same with how players like modric have remained competitive). Rodri even though he got the goal obviously has been talk up so much lately like he's I don't know what. I don't even like him, he annoys me watching him play. Ridiculously overrated. Ederson over Onana really is a damn joke as well.
