Hey mike, great job with your sig too, good to have another first class member, I'm actually looking for your posts.
Thanks Frisko, glad to be here!

Reading through what everyone has posted really gets a nerazzurro going. Being able to read what others write and understanding those feelings and relating to them is great.

As people have said, you just can't explain it. There is no why. It's like a God given affinity for black and blue  and a God encouraged hatred for BBilan and JuBe. :frustrat:

It's the feeling of great pride and joy you get that brings a smile to your face, makes your heart skip a beat, and makes you want to scream FORZA RAGAZZI!!!! at the top of your lungs when you watch the Sampdoria comeback...

I live here in a community where there are just player fan's, not fan's of a club for instance a friend of mine is mad about who else but 'Becks', he transferred from Man U to real, my friend too jumped ship to real and now he comes to me and say's things like Campiones de la liga, Los Galacticos and I just don't say anything because its useless and i am already reknowned in my school as 'Inter' .

When all of my friend's see me they say," hey Inter is here." I feel so proud and especially after Calciopoli, as everyone in my school started being sympathetic towards me because suddenly they realised how much pain and suffering we interisti might have gone through
and last year i was used to support the azzurri but now I don't give a shit about them as my Love for Inter grew and my hate towards bbilan and gayentus grew considering the injustice towards us as well in all these ****in years.

i never answered this thread in the first place..

well.. half of my family are italians, from palermo originally but a few moved to milano.. 2 of my aunts and their kids were brought up in Como..

when I was born my aunts gave me everything blue and black. And when i was younger i lived in Lecco near to Milano with my aunt for a while when my parents were away and too busy to keep me there full time..

First game i went to was in 1989, against Lazio at home.. We won and obviously went on to win the league. Since then i've been to at least one game a year, been to the derby pretty much every year including all legs of the Euro derbies and last years amazing 3-4 win.

Inter is basically the biggest thing in my life and has been as long as I remember. All the memories of walking to the stadium since an early age.. Standing in the Curva admiring groups such as boys SAN, viking and IRR.. being amazed by the noise, the colours of the flares, the size of the flags.

Learning the songs and getting to know the people there too. Also the times that hurt, wondering if i should have thrown a flare on THAT day..

Getting the tattoos just added to it, my way of saying Inter has been with me for all of my life and will be there for the rest of my life.

I guess i was just lucky to be born into the right place and the right family..

Anyway, all the new members who haven't added to this yet.. put in ur story!!

Kate you have an Inter tattoo can you post a pic?!

In the 1998 world cup I fell in love with the Brazilian national team squad and also with Ronaldo. He was my hero. I was 5 years old at the time and knew nothing about the game all I knew was that I loved Brazil and was sad that France won the World Cup. That September I started watching soccer on ESPN. It was then I watched my first Inter game. It was unaware to me at the time that Ronaldo played for Inter and seeing him in the black and blue jersey brought on a love for Inter that I have never lost to this day.

My greatest memory from those games were:
Inter 5 -0 against a team that I forgot.
Inter 5 -1 against Lazio. I remember a Lazio player seeing red in that game.
Inter 3 -1 against Real Madrid, Ronaldo had a brace.

I was high on Ronaldo at that time. Two people from my church went to Italy and asked me what I wanted and I asked them for a Ronaldo shirt. It was awesome! By 2002, however I had gotten sick of Ronaldo! And had fallen in love with Hernan Crespo and Julio Cruz and Vieri. And then Adriano and Ibrahimovic.

This is my Inter story.

50% of this forum are Interista because of this guy. Nothing more needs to be said. He was a legend with the ball at his feet. On form, the best player of this generation alongside Zinedine Zidane. You could have been special, Ronnie.

I love the "tramp stamp" but the second one really does look painfull. If I were to get a tattoo it would be for either Inter or my mom. The only two things that have never let me down.

haha yes Tim, exactly. There were far greater players before him, there have been greater players since him and there will continue to be better players than him in the future. Especially in terms of loyalty

You guys should be proud. Unfortunately (?), my reason for first supporting Inter was because of Ronaldo.

Hey, I was only 9 years old. :D

Growing up in country Australia I was never really exposed to football that much. I have a vague memory from an early age watching a game on satellite tv where Recoba scored a magic freekick to win it (for this reason he's still one of my favourite players). So I kept watching their games whenever I could. And over the years have developed a love for Inter.

When it comes down to it my love for football in general is because of Inter, they're interrelated. Even though I'm on the other side of the world. But I don't feel like a bandwagoner or whatever because after all, "we are the brothers of the world".

I liked Inter since 96 or something like that, when they got ince and zamorano, then when ronaldo came i was also excited cause i liked him also, but i basically liked Italian football and choose Inter over any another cause i liked his style.

Fell in love with Inter in 98 there are many interisti in Malta and there was this fanatism for the club it really interested in Inter and also everyone was crazy for this Ronaldo guy and it interested me to say the least :p. But I was just 8 and the first time I started really following the club was in 2000 lol I started to watch a few games then and I fell in love with Inter I cared for Ronaldo but since he was always injured I fell in love with the club and not with an individual player and that's how it all began.. I think. A game in particular that I fondly remember is he 5-1 thrashing of Parma they were great back then lol if anyone can find any highlights of it please show em to me cause I couldn't find any.

Dude... ROBERTO BAGGIO! I think that was a better reason to become an interista in 98 :D

It would be wonderful to think what his career might've been without the idiot Lippi's prejudice against him ;)

Baggio > Ronaldo, dontcha think? I'm glad I always hated Ronaldo even in his prime, so I can hate him openly now without being a hypocrite!

For a young kid at the time (such was I), Ronaldo was much easier to fall in love with simply because of his flair.
