I wouldnt mind Jose staying at Inter for few more seasons, break some records in Italy and take over United after Sir Alex quits. Would detest him seeing at Real madrid, there is already some bad blood between United and Real and it can only complicate his passage to OT.

For Jose, he would love to have the fans and the board backing him through out even in dark periods, working independently without interference from the president along with adequate transfer funds.

Of all the top line clubs at the moment only Inter, Juve, United, Pool and Arsenal have the proper footballing culture not Real Madrid or Barca. With Juve completely ruled out it would boil down to three English and one Italian club where he can pull strings the way he wants.

Just continue at Inter jose, come to OT after Fergie's retirement.

APPIANO GENTILE - Paolo Sacco's dream journey towards Madrid continues. The Inter season ticket holder, who was given a ticket for the Champions League final by José Mourinho yesterday, visited Inter's training ground this morning to thank the Portuguese coach in person.

"I have with me the money to give to charity, as the boss asked me too. I can give it to the captain's PUPI Foundation right away," said Paolo, who was the first person in the queue for the 5,000 remaining tickets.

Javier Zanetti explained to Paolo what he needs to do: make the donation at the PUPI headquarters in via Corno di Cavento, 7, in Milan.

"I will go on Monday," assured Paolo, who then went into the press room for his meeting with Mourinho. And the Inter coach wanted to know everything about the season ticket holder, who works as a waiter in Milan. "If you want I will come here to serve the players," he said. "How will I go to Madrid? By car, coach, or bike, but thanks to you, I will be there."

"Always behave well," said Mourinho. "You are an Inter fan, you are a lucky boy, you can see the training session with your friend. Now concentrate on the game in Siena."

Trembling, Paolo embraced the coach and whispered: "My voice, my whole voice for the team. Always." Bravo Paolo.

A lot depends on what will happen on tomorrow and on the 22nd. If Inter prevails, Mourinho is very likely to leave Inter, because if he does so, he will be like boxer ending his career without defeats: he'll be a myth.

We may know something on the 23 or we may have to wait till 17 July.

Fact of the matter is only mou and the club really know. Unlike with mancini in the past I am not 100% convinced he is going.

he's still young for a football coach.
there's no rush for him to go to spain now actually..
unless he's after ferguson's job.... and wants to remain in MU until retirement...
But... will Mou stay at MU forever..? Only Mou can answer..
If he's taking common road...
He's in no hurry to go to spain, he can stay here win few more trophies, and go to real madrid.
Real is always in search for new coach... Mou is the galactico of a coach.... He's the most popular football coach on earth today. His style of play is probably too pragmatic for spanish football... but mou is intelegent enough to give the fans some compromise...

If Mou moves there, Real will challenge Barca and haunt them again...
Unfortunately, I can see that Mou will have no reception problem at Real... their fans will love them...

if Mou leaves, then we and serie A has to work harder in gaining popularity and european trophies

His Porto didn't even remotely look like a bus. His Chelsea was moulded from Ranieri's squad (btw Chelsea spent more more buying the squad for Ranieri than for Mou); he merely added some elements to their attack and defense and hey presto, they became back-to-back EPL champions. For Inter, the team is now playing so much more fluidly and cohesivelyb than previous seasons. The defensive masterclass displayed at Camp Nou doesn't show him or the team to be bus team, it merely showed the versatility of the squad, its ability to adapt intelligently tactically to different types of opponents. This makes playing against Inter even more difficult for opponents to prepare. At Real, there are too much quality in their attacking line that Mou merely needs to get them to play together as a cohesive team and to up their defensive capabilities, and Real could swamp the entire Liga and put Barca on the ropes for the entire season. Imagine a beautiful all-attacking Real with the strongest defense in Europe.

And when Real step up onto the podium to claim their Spanish cup, La Liga cup and European cup all in one season, any of Mourinho's "defensive football" will be forgiven and he will loved by Madrid fans the way Chelsea and Inter fans are loving him now.

I don't think he's a purely defending coach too....but many do-and that's the problem,even Van Gall said in an interview yesterday that he is a 'destructive' coach,that he analyses the opponent and then destroys his system.So the Galacticos should get used to (sometimes)defensive battles and 'AS' and 'Marca' could title some things like 'Antifootball' like the 'sun' did etc,especially if he looses this kind of games...Well it can still work out well,if he gets the time to implement his system and-if he wins...if not the press&managment&fans will eat him alive in no time...and time is a privilege that rarely exsists at RM.
At Inter he's allready reached the status of a godlike untouchable 'Über'person where he can act at will an the club(Moratti)will accept anything he does and wishes to do,the fans anyway....well imagine that at Real especially in his first year:rollani:

Mourinho's style has nothing to do with defensive football but more of a structured football a cross breed between the tactical formations of Hitzfeld and Capello. We all saw how Capello was shabbily treated by Real, it would only be up to the next real madrid elections before some one canes Mourinho. Also Del Bosque off late did provide Real Madrid whatever the president and the club wanted, 2 leagues, 2 CL's one Spanish club, attractive football... all in the space of four years along with holding down the egos of all Galaticos, yet he met with an horrible end.

Mourinho for his part would find Real Madrid job challenging as the team struggling to find is marbles against one of the greatest Barcelona teams of all time. But I dont see him lasting there for more than two or three seasons, even if he wins everything or loses everything. Either his reputation would go up or it would hit rock bottom nevertheless his exit from Real Madrid would be ugly, thats appears to be the thumb rule for all managers that takes up the Real job.

How can you not love this guy? "I don't want to say stupid people.." and that's exactly what he's saying.

Know what, Mou reminds me of Generals Patton and Douglas McCarther. Enigmatic, sometimes contradictory yet not exactly contradictory either.

Over the years, England has taken to her heart lots of foreigners with funny voices.

Rolf Harris, Yuri Geller, Lloyd Grossman, Prince Phillip, and, of late, Aleksandr (Compare The) Meerkat have all woven themselves into fabric of our national life. We’re very fond of them all.

But the most popular member of our foreign legion, the most adored and admired – the most special – is currently being forced to live in exile. And my God we want him back.

Sky Sports last night interrupted their half-time analysis of Manchester United’s fascinating Champions League quarter-final with Bayern Munich to bring us an exclusive interview with Jose Mourinho. “I don’t like Italian football, and they don’t like me,” said Mourinho, in his funny foreign voice. “Simple.”

Richard Keys, the embodiment of our national crush on Mourinho, beamed with excitement at this quote, visibly stirred by the prospect of our hero returning ‘home’. “We love him,” agreed Jamie Redknapp, who, when he’s not doing his studio thing, presents Sky 1’s Search For A Star, the channel’s attempt to turn Mourinho into Simon Cowell. It’s as good as it sounds.

Clearly, neither Jamie nor Richard thought there was anything wrong in devoting so much of their precious half-time analysis slot to a routine Mourinho interview (Indeed, given their excitement, it was a surprise they didn’t can the second half and play endless loops of Mourinho pouting “Simple”, with Pomp and Circumstance playing in the background).

And let’s be clear. It was a routine interview. Anyone who’s kept half an eye on Italian football over the last two years will know that Mourinho’s not happy in Serie A, where his shtick just doesn’t work. His latest interview hasn’t moved the story on, so why did Sky allow it to overshadow their programme?

Sky employ an excellent analyst in Ruud Gullit, but once they’re done with adverts, replays, Jamie, and the obligatory Geoff Shreeves/Alex Ferguson interview, Gullit has no time to properly analyse anything. It was the same after the whistle, with the post-match discussion again dominated by Mourinho, as if he was somehow the story of the night.

Don’t get me wrong, Mourinho taking over Manchester City – the only possible job for him here – would be a hugely entertaining prospect. But that’s not happening. Not yet, at least.

And until it does, I’d rather Sky didn’t keep dumbing down what is already fairly dumb coverage with celebrity interviews. Bayern Munich vs Manchester United is a big deal, it doesn’t need irrelevant sideshows.
