To be honest, I wasn't huge fan of our last season's design but slowly I fall in love with them, and I think the same is happening even this year.

They aren't that bad as we think, they look class from the distance.

Was just thinking, of all the seasons to have gold writing in the top this would have been a good one would it not, like the 2008/09 top?

No, I prefer like it is currently, the white fits better.

Would have liked to have seen a gold Pirelli sponsor.
Or if it aint to flash a silver one

I know the white is nice as well but weve had white for the last 15 or more years

Very inteligent design by nike
and as willam ross said the european and italian champions Deserve the best :)

the kits on TV look very black and rugged if that makes sense. They look good though, just not as classy as last years. I tried the home top on at a store the other day and I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome it looked on. The away top was still just way too sexy lol

Fuck I'm so drunk right now but let me try my hardesrt to explain. Yes, the Nike logo has been noticably lowered to accommodate the Coppa Italia patch, but nevertheless, it still looks awkward to me.

And I completely agree that due to the nike logo being lowered, if you chose not to put the CI patch there, the shirt would look kinda retarded. But this is no fault of ours, moreso the fault of Nike who should never have put the CI patch there and never should have lowered their logo in the first place.

Let me explain it this way. There are 3 'marks' on the jersey. Left, middle and right. Left is Nike + CI, middle = scudetto, and right is our logo. If you draw a straight line, they should be more or less lined up.

like so:

96745393.jpg

See this is our shirt from last season when we didn't have the CI patch. The badges are all divided in the area shown with a green boundary and sit within them perfectly. YES, the star above the inter logo does not fit in the box but it is so small compared to the larger shape of the circle which makes up the inter logo that the eye doesn't notice it very much.

The THREE badges sit within their 3 boxes.

Below is a close up of our new jersey with the CI patch.

65663072.jpg

notice immediately that there is not 3 sections now, but 4, because the 'left' section is divided into two sections, one for the Nike logo, one for the CI patch. Notice also that where I've drawn with orange, the top of the CI circle comes above the bounding green border, and because it is a heavier shape and size than for example the star above the Inter logo, the eye is instantly drawn to its inbalance. Additionally it is RED contrasting with the BLUE stripe of the jersey meaning it stands out even moarrrr.

I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything but i've been a graphic designer for a while now and what i'm tellign tyou is straight-up design principle sensibility and design psychology.

I respect and agree with your opinion that the coppa Italia badge is not noticable enough when placed on a sleeve. In my opinion, the solution would be to have a larger COppa Italia badge (about the size of our Inter logo), and to place it on the left sleeve.

:drunk1:>:drunk:>:yuck:
i don't even think they needed to do anything drastic to make it better, just move both the nike logo and coppa badge down a couple of cm. looks much better to me -> (edited yo pic, i brought them down a tiny bit too much but you get the idea etc)

the V-neck and CI-logo kills it, I think. round necks are just awesome, not to mention more comfortable. but I'll probably get used to it in the end, as usual..

alright, so I went to a local soccer shop here in California, and the new inter away shirt is 80$ plus $30 to personalize. i guess they have to order the lettering/numbers. Idk but to me $110 seems a bit pricey.... what do yall think though.

Eh. It's all subjective. I live in Australia, and I've never considered buying my jerseys from anywhere other than inter.it

All my purchases have been personalised with a player name/number and with either a Serie A or UCL patch. For my recent purchase, the 09/10 jersey, I paid around 120euros in total which was $180AUD, to you guys that's $170 USD. Back when the Euro was stronger, I paid $230AUD for my centenary jersey with the red cross.

Yes it's expensive and it's not like I have enough money to be careless with, but I've always thought the money is worth it, and I've never regretted buying a jersey from Inter.
