Interesting is the fact that he scored a penalty kick won by toni . It shows trust towards him.

That's their job. To slowly help the boy with the transition from Primavera football, to serie A football. If they succed it will cost us, but it will be worth it in the longrun.
Anyways, very happy about his three goals. Hopefully he will impress enough to scare Toni during the season. Most likely there is no chance Mattia will impress that much, but hopefully he will get a lot of minutes coming from a bench.

10 years of FIFNice for both Destro and Acqua. Unfortunately Acqua didn't get that many chances at Genoa, while he was very good at Cagliari though. Hopefully he can make his goals again at Sardinia.

FIF Special Ones10 years of FIFHe played in 10 matches, starting all but 2 and played 90 minutes in 5 of them. He got his chances, he just did nothing with them...He also suffered a month-long injury which didn't help him out.

Genoa forward Mattia Destro has been called up as a last-minute replacement for Alberto Paloschi in the Italy Under-21 side.
Parma hitman Paloschi was forced to pull out of the training camp yesterday after picking up an injury during the 1-0 win over Bosnia.
Coach Pierluigi Casiraghi has now called in Inter youth product, now at Genoa, Destro.
The Azzurrini will qualify for the European Under-21 Championship play-offs if they beat Wales in their final game.
The match kicks off at 16.00 UK time at the Stadio Adriatico in Pescara on Tuesday.
