it's not an either/or situation, cassano's contract is going to be terminated, so if he comes it will most likely be for free, although if the management decides to give something in return to keep good relations with samp, it would be a much smarter move to just give them money instead
Cassano's contract has not been terminated and may not be. If it's terminated, then obviously we can do whatever the hell we want. And if his contract is terminated, it's because Samp wanted it. There would be no need to give them any compensation to maintain good relations. If they didn't want him joining another club, they wouldn't release him.
But, if it's not terminated because Samp are forced to pay compensation, or if they do to him what Lazio did to Pandev then we need Samp to agree to let him join us. And if that's the case, and they want Coutinho on loan, we should do it. I think some people on here seriously overrate Coutinho. I think he will be great, but right now, this year, Cassano is needed much more than Coutinho is.
