Bye Eto'o...I always think he's truly professional. Unlike many other players, he won't get pissed when he is substituted, he won't complain when he's played out of position, and he really gives the best to the clubs he plays for. Good luck in Russia.

Moved to "former players and coaches", till voted.. I will add poll now to choose. I will set it for a week, and we will either keep the thread here, or move it to la grande :)

Can anybody give the exact fee amount off this deal? I read different numbers from other sites, saying acc. to russian reports he'd cost only 20-21 mils ...

Nah. Russian sources first reported 40 million offers for Eto'o. I would go with Italian sources on this one which say that the offer is in the vicinity of 25-27 million.

At last, now, get me the next striker.

Ah, and thanks Eto'o for all you've done, it's been a pleasure.

It must be 29 mil. but it will be like 25 straight ahead, and other part like bonuses and stuff.
russian eurosport tells that at least (about 29 millions, i heard the rest from several unreliable sources)

Until something proves otherwise.. Inter sold Eto'o.. Eto'o followed orders and left, Moratti clearly didn't want Samu to stay, as soon as it became clear that we couldn't rid of ourselves of the dead weight, selling Samu became priority.. It's so obvious, how could you guys call him a money hunter, when it was the club who cashed in on him? Moratti, Branca and Co. would have been more upset had Samu rejected the Russians, to stay here..

Yeah, it was the management's call. And Eto'o obeyed. Have a nice career at Russia and you will be always remembered here for what you did. Grande Eto'o! :)

It has always been for money for him.. That's why he left barca in the first place, wanted renewed contract with higher wages, that's how it started...

But i dont blame him though. He is world class player and he needs to be paid, simple as that. He did much for us, especially last year. he is born leader, born winner. Thanks Samu for all you did, you will remembered at Inter! :proud:

Not the only reason, but the main. That's how it all started. Unless the Barca fans are lying, reading their forums/blogs after the eto/Ibra swap, i learned that.

Pep wanted him out from day one(Eto'o, Deco and Ronaldinho were labeled as the cancer of the team and the biggest reason of a terrible 2007/2008. season) and wanted Villa as his replacement.

It didn't go that way, the rest is history.
