we never should have bought that jonathan character. it was just another mistake in a long list of mistakes committed by the management. he was about to prove his worth and next thing you know we sold him to newcastle. really dissapointing.

He wasnt sold because of Jonathan. he was sold because of Faraoni. THe management saw more potential in Faraoni, and they sold Santon. I doubt they would loan him, but i think Santon didnt want to be loaned. So they sold him..

We should have got more money for him, but i dont see this as THAT huge mistake like you guys sound. What hurts is the fact that we sold our boy who is our product, but i dont see how he would have featured at Inter. Naga, Maicon, Zanetti, Jonathan, Chivu, even Faraoni were infront of him in the picking order.

he is a fullback just like jonathan isnt he? and the way i see it faraoni is a versitale defensive allrounder, he is not even a direct concurrent. anyways santon should have gotten his opportunity this season...

Interesting take from you guys...

I'll be watching to see how hypocritical you guys are with our other young crop and their performances (frog particularly).

We have about 15 right backs coming from our youth academy every other week. Santon dint have the faith of the management and we got a decent bid for him when we needed the cash, so we did it. Simple.

How many opportunities should he have gotten?? He was poor for 2 seasons at inter and very average at cesena...The reason why a lot still have this believe in santon is because he is an inter youth product, if he wasn't nobody would give a dam...

Simply put he had gotten his chances and we had enough cover at the fullback/wingback position that he could sacrifice.

As for n4l and his whole ranocchia thing. If are hypocrites then so be it. I have more faith in ranocchia making it long term then santon so I am willing to give him more chances and the same goes for obi, criseteg and cou. You can disagree with that if it makes you fell better...

Just too bad we have some decent WBs... what i dont understand is why cant we play him at RCB....
Why we can accept Zanetti at RCB but not Santon? Defensively i dont think Santon can do much worse than Chivu or Ranocchia...:depress::depress:

Wait, what? That is EXACTLY why we sold him, because he is liability in the defense. AND as addition makes too much mistakes at offense. Though, i liked him how he attacked, he has the speed and decent technique. Why i dont think it was as huge mistake as some say is because he is defensive liability.

(1) People being hypocrites will just allow me to not take those posters seriously anymore (re: fcbarca).

(2) Feel better? You really think I am sad or anything like that? :palm: All I said is that it was a dumb move.

Simple question for all the Santon shouldnt be sold guys, why was he crap for the last 1 year or so? Why coudnt he shine at Cesena?

Did you read Santon's recent statements? He could've gone to Roma or Newcastle. Both offered loan but Inter didn't want to loan. Loan would've been the smarter route to go. FFS, we chose to loan Mariga

As to your second question, I don't know why he didn't shine at Cesena. I only watched a couple of games and he was pretty mediocre. Not disaster like chivu but nothing special. He was very good with U21 NT in the last year though.

The point is, dude is 20. Fucking 20. It is very hard for me to think about other 20 year old stud wing backs. He might do good or he might be flop. Either way, I'm done arguing about this. 6mil is fucking peanuts and I think it was not in the best interest of Inter to sell him. You guys (and our very 'smart' management) think otherwise so I'll leave it at that.

 at n4l doing the same thing when we back Froggy.

Im done listening to cynics hate on everything our management does. Im bored actually, tomorrow onwards I'm gonna blame the heat in Dubai on Branca and MM. 6mil is good if there is no other team making an offer.

No Milan player
imo, it's not a very good transfer for us. branca was so eager to clear the wages and raise some transfer money to balance the book but we should have include a first option to buy clause for santon in case he perform well for newcastle or we need his type of player in the future.

at the current moment, none of our coach (rafa, leo, gasp) rate him thus the only way for him is out. unless mou coming back next season, it's hard to develop his confidence back.

epl would be a good place for santon. just like jose enrique, he will take some time to settle but barring any injuries he'll light up the league. there's hardly an italian player there anyway to showcase their talent. pity that there's no such clause so i put some blame on the management for that poor decision.

Yes he has been crap for a season or 2 and now suddenly he will go and turn into Maldini in a league which is completely opposite to what he has been playing in and its quicker. :eek:blivious:

If I'm proved wrong, I'll happily admit it being a sucker for HG players making it big, trust me. Quote it again if he turns into Maldini at Newcastle and then aim as you please at the management of this club. NOT NOW.

Not Maldini as we wont be seeing another Maldini for sure (At least in the near future). If he becomes regular for Newcastle then I will consider his move as a success as he can climb ladder slowly from there.
