I didn't think he was as bad as a defensive player. Yes, there weren't chances he had or created, but I liked what he did when it came to winning balls, didn't see many mistakes that were costly.

I was calling for replacing him with Forlan at HT, but he was tremendous later in the game when Milito was subbed. Amazing at holding the ball for our other players to catch breath.

If Tevez comes, I don't think he'll manage much game time.

Well, he has been useless as fuck. I highly appreciate his efforts at defence with heading and so, but Pazzo is seriously useless. One would say that 'why dont you come here when he scores', but hey even when he scores he's useless major time. People keep saying that we need to provoide him chances and so, but thats not an excuse.

Forlan should pay instead of him from now on, he can at least do something with the ball and will be surely more productive in our gameplay. We're very limited in attack with Pazzo, sadly but true.

On another note, Pazzo is a great option to have in the bench, when we struggle to score against small teams that play a catenaccio strategy.

I think he will improve soon because he knows he won't be a starter if he doesn't score. Competition is good. Milito only improved because of Tevez rumors.

He wasnt good but calling him useless is not right. Infact, he got alot of freekicks and should have had a penalty when Naga crossed to Alvarez. Silva got very lucky there. Also worked alot to delay the game.

Though most of time Pazzo has been useless but he scores a goal to save his life. He's only useful when playing a team that applies super defensive strategy and we play with crossing in the box and something like that, but other than that Pazzo is useless like example in a game with possession, counter-attacks etc.

And don't trust the 'worked alot to delay the game' bs.

Pazzo did his job well.He was used as a defensive forward by Ranieri to do all the dirty work for Milito in Milans half.Capello used this tactic a lot of time with his England squad in his early days using Heskey.

You guys who said he was useless yesterday are blind or you think you need to score in order to have a good performance. Pazzo was key yesterday. Held up the ball very well and did his job as a target man. He ran hard for 90 minutes and shut down many Milan attacks by coming back and getting into passing lanes.

Not his best performance, but probably the best performance he could have had without scoring a goal. I have never seen a big target man forward run all over the pitch like he did...at least he didn't give up and just sit up top like many of these type of players do.

As I said, I highly appreciate his efforts in defence but other than that he was really useless. He has lost too many duels when trying to hold the ball, without getting a foul. Also had some bad decisions when we had to counter-attack he rather wanted to hold the ball and slow down our action.

If he gets praised for a game like last night, then I dont know.. whatever!

I thought I was the only one. As mentioned in the match thread, the fact that he's not built like Koller or Drogba gives him extra points.

There was one particular moment when he could have scored if not for Maicon's poor cross. Somewhen in the first half after Maicon played a 1-2 with Milito and Pazzo got ahead of his marker (Nesta I think) but Maicon's cross was blocked.

Yeah. Pazzo does a lot of invisible work which goes unnotice for people who just follows where is the ball and the scoresheet.

i hope all this running around the pitch helps him get more creative in the final third.

he did a great job disrupting attack and he always is a treat when we move forward. i think a lot of you are missing the point that he doesnt score like he is "suposed" to be scoring. maybe its just a low spell but he should be hitting the net more often.

lol Cafe. No offence but seriously that was a pretty arrogant post. The only good thing Pazzo has done in the derby was his efforts on the defence. Other than that he was a disappointment. Saying that he was not bad or something, just because he has managed to hold the ball few times, that is a pure bs.

And to mention that he has lost too many balls trying to hold the ball, he lost them without getting a foul or something, and also he has done a lot mistakes in decisions, like example when we had to do a very dangerous counter-attack, he rather wanted to hold the ball and slow down the game. As I said he was quite useless and he needs gazillion chances to score. Not even funny tbh.

I really like his attitude but let's face it, our attack with Pazzo is very limited. I've said even earlier, he's most of time useless but scores a goal to save his life. Let's hope Forlan will be starter from now on, he truly deserves more than Pazzo after all.

Pazzini isn't the best that's for sure. But Forlan is disappointment itself. I doubt that he would be playing any matches in the second half of this eason. He's always injured. His national team should pay his wages because he plays for it, not for Inter in reality.

Forlan has indeed been a disappointment in Inter so far, but blame on injuries. Though even like this, he's still better option than Pazzo, thats for sure. Forlan of World Cup 2010 was one of the best in the World, but as for now he's struggling a lot with injuries and couldn't be consistent with performances, but if he's fine from now on, he should start without a doubt.

Would then people here prefer him over Forlan or Tevez??? No. As Azzkicker was used to say, such strikers are getting rare now. Teams want strikers who just aren't poachers, but do other things as well. The things written above for Pazzo that he held the ball well upfront above, did alot of closing down etc etc, I'm sure Forlan would do those greatly as well.
