I thought we were going to sit back and soak up pressure then relied on counter-attack.
It was proved wrong though. Looking at the starting line-up I knew Stramaccioni would try to dominate play.
We did attack on the break but it wasn't to that extreme.
With 4-3-2-1, our midfield wasn't overran since Alvarez and Sneijder, before they got tired near the last quarter of the match, put a lot of pressure up front.
It's also essential that both of them never afford van Bommel too much time on the ball which was crucial to their lack of quality balls from deep.
In attack, Sneijder prospered in this formation.
Usually in 4-3-1-2, he has to work alone to find spaces between the lines, but with Alvarez sharing the same responsibility and position, Sneijder often finds himself free in dangerous positions because opponent's defensive midfielders have to split concentration.
The lone striker has to be brilliant here, and that's what Milito does day in day out.

If we get 6th we go into Playoffs I think, which started this year on August 18th if we get 5th or 4th we will be in group stage which started this year on 15th September and if we get into CL playoffs which started this year on august 16th.
We will be seeded in layer 1 whichever tournament we get into.
