I don't get how Howard isn't the goalie for a better team. It really does take someone borderline stabbing him for him to get scored on. The US defense is a joke and he makes them look good.

Only the Americans saw this match as a big deal. ESPN analysts threw out the word "historic" many times yesterday lol. Do they understand what a friendly is?

Yes I do. Some people still tend to take it seriously for some stupid reason, at least from reading some posts on here. I agree that ESPN and other crap blew it up way too much than it needed to be.

So after another game full of mistakes from Oguchi Onyewu, I decided to check how the US has done with or without him...

In the last 5 years:

With Onyewu
Games: 35
Record: 17-8-10
Goals Scored: 67
Goals Allowed: 47
Goal Differential: +20

Win Percentage: 49%
GA Per Game: 1.34

Without Onyewu
Games: 38
Record: 20-4-14
Goals Scored: 50
Goals Allowed: 43
Goal Differential: +7

Win Percentage: 53%
GA Per Game: 1.13

So the numbers are not as strong as I thought they would be, but we can still see that USA has a higher winning percentage and a lower goals allowed per game average when Onyewu is out versus when he does play.

You do realize only 2 players in the starting 11 play in the MLS, don't you?

Seems like Scotland in the only team USA can put more than 1 goal by, Calzo....Even Canada held them scoreless :slick:

They actually scored 3 on Slovenia as well. US has 0 strikers right now. What really confuses me is how are they getting all these Germans on there team. Are they pulling an Argie move... my great great great great great grandma was 1/5th Italian can I please play in Italy and not count as non EU player
