Dunno why coaches insist on Bradley as DM...he should be making attacking runs with the forwards. He would be a much better player if coaches used him as a box-to-box midfielder instead of trying to play him like a Pirlo type.

I saw. More punchlines to come! Then again, I know for a fact even you don't care about team Canada overall right?

Eh, I wish them the best, but I'm not exactly a fan

as for the Scottish NT roster it just goes to show you that the EPL isn't that great they got spanked by a bunch of MLSers

This. Though that's a discussion for another thread...

Im very impressed with Klinsman. Making Maurice Edu look like a great player is no small feat. Bocanegra too.

Were you impressed with his 0-0 draw with Canada? He is not a good manager...he will get lucky at times and have a few good matches, but that's about it. In the long run he will be seen as a disappointment when his tenure ends.

Based off of 1 game im impressed considering bocanegra and especially Edu are both absoltue crap for an SPL side, yet looked far superior to a midfeild full of EPL players... Though thats probably more cause we have levein, and not that you have klinsman.

They don't ever care for US soccer but when the US wins a game they start talking about the US as a world power in soccer.

But nice win anyways. Never been done.

They still have yet to out-play the opposition in any of these "big" wins. Very similar to the Italy friendly...were dominated for about 85 minutes and grabbed a flukey goal.

Not really impressed by USA's performance. I don't see how playing defensive in friendly games develops the squads ability to play football. Tim Howard had a good game and the back four did well...nothing happened offensively until Shea came in and he only had one run. They just looked basic. On the other hand, Mexico kept possession well and got it back way too easily. Barrera wasn't that good and Reyna is no Dos Santos. Neither team looked that great. We'll have to wait until qualifiers to see a decent match.

USA made the finals of the Gold Cup.... not that it means much. Hilarious that Mexico found a way to get bounced by Panama. They couldn't put the ball on net at all

Panama has been quite impressive. Their CB is built like a tank and their forwards have played really well.

Everyone on the USA has played quite well bar Brek Shea's terrible half with Cuba and their consistent inability to defend set pieces.

Mexico's gameplan was "hope Fabian does something awesome" the whole tourney. Defense was awful. de la Torre has taken them as far as he can, I would expect a new coach soon.

Not bad, a Gold Cup Victory and they did it without their manager who was suspended. Didn't play great IMO, but got the result.

IMO it would be a mistake to fire de la Torre for the defeat against Panama. This was not Mexico first team, they had only played together for a couple of weeks and he was just testing players to see who can help in the first team. Terrible tournament by Mexico but I think it would be a mistake to have a new coach for this.

Not one team in the concacaf is good outside of Mexico and the US. US has hosted every single gold cup since it's existence !!! What other confederation allows 1 country to just command them like that.

De la Torre needs to be fired from Mexico for not being able to get Vela on the team or have the balls to call him if the Mexican fed has him black listed.

But in all reality no other team in the confederation has the squad to even beat the 3rd or 4th string US/Mexican teams. Half the countries here aren't even countries. They are commonwealths of other countries haha.

Celebrating a Gold Cup is like an Inter fan celebrating another TIm Cup win haha

Vela is the one that should be punished, not de la Torre nor any other person. Vela is the one that refuses to come, even if he has been called several times. He even said recently that is not his priority to go to the World Cup, he is more focused on his career and having a good development in Europe, and not wanting to be in the national team is just his decision and no-one else.

It's better than watching Mexico win it :troll: 2-0 lead vanishing was downright comical  :palm:

He quit because they suspended him for the Monterrey party, when more senior players were in charge of the thing and got nothing, so do you think Vela really cares that Mexico will "punish" him? What are they gonna do? ban him from entering the country?

Who said other seniors players were in charge of the thing and not him? He and Efrain Juarez were both suspended and other players were fined. Why just him and Juarez were suspended? I don't know for sure but I guess they had more responsibility in the party than you think. And you don't see Efrain rejecting the team, he would gladly return, is just Vela the one that is not interested.

And by "punish" I mean, not calling him again for the NT, he has rejected every call since then, so if I were the coach I would not call him ever again.

Haha I just told my Mexican roommate I don't get the US and Mexico. FIFA gives you a gift by giving you a confederation that is a joke to qualify and has 3 countries and a bunch of crap islands. Yet you don't win every fing game!!! US sub 20 should be able to qualify here.

Haha this is why Mexico refuses to join the Comenbol but wants to play in all our tournies.

Bradley is 10x the coach this German clown is.
