10 years of FIFI'd say Ginter would be fine to the rotation? Can't say I've seen him play too much.

I would be upset if we’re going for him as a starter. He would be a great upgrade to the bench as long as the salary isn’t too high.

With de vrij contract situation, don't think that's happening. It's de vrij out, ginter in imo.

I'm normally one to say don't rock the boat and keep the same core but signing Ginter for free and selling SDV is good business imo. Ginter is two years younger and a really solid defender himself. I think we've seen that we will be fine without SDV the last month or two.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFJust by checking Bundesliga table, BM has 3rd worst defense after Hertha and Greuther with 32 conceded after 17 matches, now checking Transfermarkt , he's played in 15 of those. Almost 2 goals a game. I understand that all of those goals can't be Ginter's fault, but its something to look out for . Expecting Ginter to carry DeVrij's position is way too big of a shoes to fill. DeVrij is one of the best defenders in the league and in the world, very smart, quick thinking defender, maybe only lacking pace, but his overall skillset and game reading is that of a player, who can take a starting spot in most of the big clubs around world imo. Can't say the same for Ginter. Previously sold by Dortmund and playing for BM for 4 years. Bottom line, he can be a good substitute, but not a player to replace DeVrij. I'd even consider Bremer as a better replacement over Ginter.

Best Overall PosterWith the exception of Kone and Hofmann, the whole team is a mess so it's hard to judge anyone based on this season. Till last year Ginter was a quality cb and very consistent. If we're bringing him as a backup he would be a great signing. But if we're bringing him as a starting rcb (with Skriniar moved to the middle) i have my doubts if he is good enough. He definitely has the quality but he lacks in leadership and i don't know if he has the mentality to be a starter at a top club.

I suspect he's PL bound (shit money club like Arsenal or Tottenham) unless we fail to reach an agreement with Torino for Bremer.
I see no reason to sell De Vrij. The guy will be quality for at least 3 more seasons, especially if we stick to a 3 at the back. Let it be a 2025 problem rather than a 2022 problem.

Most Improved MemberTottenham got 20mln for Eriksen 6 months before expiration Of his contract. Vlahovic has also contract till summer 23, and Fiorentina will sell him for 60+ most probably. Real have offered 100+ for Mbappe last summer.
We should be able to sell SDV for 30-40mln if we put him on the market.
