The tournament starts today and I won't have any matches available to me. Serbia VS Germany, though. :(
No games at all? That's a real shame, I like this U-21 Championships, we can see a lot of great young players that will become some of the best in the world.

However I would like to see more teams, 8 teams isn't enough. Fortunately I think that UEFA is already taking in consideration the opening of these Championships to more teams.

They won't be showing other games of a tournament taking place in their own country, Pi? Are you sure?

Not on "public" television, they aren't. They will show it on cable which I don't have. I had the choice, cable or Internet, and I chose Internet.

I might get to see a few "other" games from the local coffees, but that's about it.

Yeah, the games being shown today, specifically Serbia VS Germany like I mentioned before, are on closed circuit PPV. :(

Serbia and Montenegro 0-1 Germany

Goal scored by Polanski!

EDIT: Portugal 0 - 1 France.

Or should I say: Portugal's players 0 - 1 France's team. France controlled the whole game especialy in the first half, I was really impressed with Antonio Mavuba, what a player.

On the down side we could see Agostinho Oliveira (Portuguese Manager), he failed in build up of the team he has too many great attacking players but he can't play them like he did today or he will lose the other 2 games.

You can see UEFA's revew on this game here:

If I am not mistaken, Belaid opted to play for his parent's country Tunisia.

Thanks for the great thread you opened Patrick.

I noticed this thread few times, but didnt bother to read any of this ´cause i thought this is all about that Toulon tournament. Just today i noticed that there´s Italia vs Denmark U-21 match and i was very surprised.

Today´s matches:

Group B - Ukraine v Netherlands (18:15cet)

Few channels that are going to broadcast this:

ART Sport 4
RAI Due
W9
TV3+ Denmark
TV Sport RO
NTV + Football
-----------------------

and other match is from Groub B as well, Italy v Denmark (20.45 CET)

Channels that show this are pretty much the same one´s than above. Only one more station will broadcast it delayed: Five (Delay 26-05 03:50)

15 minutes played and itś 1-0 to Italia.

Scorer? Alessandrooo Potenzaaaa!!!!!!

I wonder if we still own him? If so, i would love to have him back, but i doubt Inter owns him anymore.

Edit: Nucking futs! Denmark just equalized...

Hamed just said we still own half of him. Let´s hope someone brings him back! Doubt it, we rather sign some foreigner...:finger:

He plays as a righback today.

Denmark leads 2-1 after Curci made awful mistake. 40 minutes played...

3-1. Oh Curci, your positioning is as "good" as our Cesar´s.

Supposedly Denmark have sent a strong squad to this tournament. I wonder how bad it is to lose a game in a tournament with 8 teams. Is it instant elimination or something?

So much for Gentile thinking we had a solid chance of repeating Euro success.

Good match, it was 3-2 to Denmark until last minutes. Then a great pass from the man of the match (Palladino) to Bianchi and it was 3-3. Without average goalkeeper (Curci), Italia should´ve won it.

Potenza had a very nice game as well. :star:

Sounds like an extremely entertaining game which was mostly dominated by us in the second half, ending in us getting a much deserved goal. I'm cursing my luck at not having RAI Due and just RAI International.

Hopefully someone'll be able to get the gols online.

what an aweful ending of the game, Denmark should have won it, we could have gotten in front with 4-2 which would have finished Italy off for good. I just can't belive we where in front 3-1 and then lose it all on the floor in the very last minute. THAT SUCKS. :wallbang:

Today there's Group A second round:

France 18:15 (CET) Germany
Portugal 20:45 (CET) Serbia and Montenegro

Portugal and Serbia and Montenegro, are on the hot spot after losing the first game they now are forced to win to keep the hope of reaching the semi-finals, I'm hoping for a great and open game and a Portuguese win.

France and Germany, are fighting for first place and immediate qualification for the semi-finals. I think both teams will take great precautions, I would bet on a draw.
