At the moment the word out of England is Mascherano will not be making the move to Anfield final because the yank owners are reluctant to hand over the doe for him. He would be an excellent signing though maybe not for the 23-24million euros that MSI want for him.

Diarra is a good option but I highly doubt he will leave madird not after paying so much to get him in the first place. I don't know who said Diarra was a offensive wreck, maybe at Madrid where he is basically forced into sitting in front of the back 4 and babysitting them but at Lyon, he had a lot more freedom to go forward and support the attack like a typical box to box midfielder, I am not saying he is a Pirlo or anything but he's not as bad as some people make out.

I doubt he'd prefer Real over Valencia. Unless he doesn't know much about Spanish football and just hears Real Madrid and drools. Valencia needs him, for Real, he'll be just another talented midfielder...

Banega can make it in any team in the world. He is a world class defensive midfielder. Box-to-box style, vision beyond his age and enough glue in his boots to create more than most central mids you can name.

Shame he's going to Valencia. Mistake.

We are said to have approached Belluschi. The player has apparently agreed with Olympiakos, but Porto and Inter were said to contacted the player.

Menez is my bigest wish for January too. It would be great to have such a talent in our team and we have so many injuries that he's needed in January. Untill next season I want some young blod in team.

OUT:

-Solari
-Figo
-Adriano
-Dacourt

IN:

-Menez
-Jimenez
-Diarra(Banega)
-Balotelli

I'd be content with that. In a perfect world, I'd rather have Mascherano or Lucho instead of Diarra but they would be considerably harder to get and obviously the cost would be higher. I think Diarra has what it takes to succeed in Italy though, what with his size and experience. He was a fackin' force at Lyon.

Menez is one of the brightest talents in Europe. Jimegol, even though he's only played a few games with us, has showed he can make it at a big club where the pressure is always on. And Super Mario is practically ready for the senior side now. Possible 5th, 4th or even 3rd striker next season if he keeps improving.

Get a WORLD CLASS CREATIVE MIDFIELDER

We are said to have approached Belluschi. The player has apparently agreed with Olympiakos, but Porto and Inter were said to contacted the player.

Hello,

Here in Greece Olympiakos is waiting for Belluschi to land tomorrow. They have agreed to pay 7 million euros for his 50%. It is a done deal, so he won't come to Inter.

My opinion is that we need a DMF who can be a backup for one year and a starter for the years to come.

If Viera gets healthy enough he will be starter for at least one more season. But after that he will not be enough for Inter.

A young guy with a promising future should the ideal transfer (something like Benega).

Apart from that I shout that we also need a word class creative midfielder.
Zlatan is the only reliable creative source in our squad and he gets hurt or out of form we will surely have a problem.

If we sign a world class creative midfielder we are strong candidates for the Champion's League.
If we do not then we are underdogs. We will probably get eliminated by a worse than us team that will simply be a little lucky and will manage to block us in attack. Just like Valencia and Villareal have done the previous years.

Jesus christ, that would shatter any previous summer spending records in history by a single club. Chances of us getting one of Modric, Benzema and Diego are next to none. Moratti seems to be opting to avoid the bidding wars, so we'll sign someone out of the blue I think. Hopefully Menez.

Modric, "We rejected offers from some of the top clubs in England and Spain of up to 35m."
Ivanovic? £10-15m?

Crespo and Cruz will be out of action in the next couple years.. I think we can say end 09 or end 10 they'll both be gone.... Assuming Adriano returns to form, we'll still need another striker even if we bring Balotelli up.
Acquafresca, I guess.

Midfield, Dacourt Figo will be gone soon (Figo wants a contract extension at Inter, think we should give it to him). So two replacements here would make sense (Jimenez and Pele, arguably?)

I would rather take Mascherano then Diarra, but still, Lucho would be before all of them.
Banega is not an option anymore, Belluschi either-seams like, I hope it wont be Diarra(he is good player, but not something I like,at least his Madrid days)...
Maniche would be good cover for this season..
Menez...and co.?

I hope we do it soon, so he fits in soon

If Mascherano is avalaible, I wouldn't hesitate a heart beat. Masc would be a very good addition to our midfield. He is quite expensive, but there Inter would have a long term solution to def.midfielder role. Zanetti can't play at his own level for like 5 years (maybe 2-3y), Masc will be at the same age as Zanetti after 10 years. Cambiasso could have his role as pure box-to-box midfielder when Mascherano would be covering his back all the time.
