We just extended Yuto's contract so it looks like he will be our 1st choice LB for the foreseeable future. As for Jonathan, apparently Strama specfically requested him and Cou return and he did have a decent finish to his season at Parma he definitely deserves a chance regardless if we do get Isla or not.

I'm more interested to see which CBs we will go for, if we just get Andreolli and possibly bring back Caldriola, we will have one of the youngest set of CBs in the league, Samuel aside. It should be very interesting with a young defense in a league which is supposed to be all about age and experience.

I'm afraid there will be huge expectations if eventually Isla signs for us. The boy would have an extremely difficult task ahead of him. Being the guy to replace Maicon is not an easy job to do.

As for Jonathan, he's still not a 'great' player but he's decent at least. He was quite solid whenever was being played. Too bad he had to compete with one of the best RB's on the planet, otherwise he would have a room in our team though. Obviously he's a better option than Nagatomo. He has a better technique at least and could bring more in our game and also is better defensively.

Well, Nagatomo is mainly a left-back but if I had to choose one of those two, I would certainly go with Jonathan. And above all, Nagatomo shouldn't be a starter.

The Andreolli deal isn't confirmed yet right? I read that we are considering him but I don't think it should be too much hassle getting him.

While I'm all for promoting our Primavera/former guys it would be ideal if we can sign a pacy, 'ready to slot into first team' CB in addition to the likes of Caldirola, Juan with Froggie being starting CB. (Not to forget The Wall but he cannot be considered a starter for an entire season)

Which teams last showed real interest in Maicon? Nowadays I think I've only read about PSG and not a very reliable one at that. For the NT, he should go to France but if he's thinking about retirement and making the most money before that, then maybe Anzhi or Málaga. If he's really lucky, Chelsea could come knocking if they really release Bosingwa.

Just read in the news Liverpool may be forced to offload Martin Škrtel. So far Fiorentina is the only team confirmed to be chasing him. If that's the kind of team he may end up at, surely a team like Inter could shoulder-barge their way into negotiations and snap him up.

IMO he would be a useful addition to our backline, 27yo so in his prime. Nothing connecting him to us yet, but if he's considering Italy, Branca needs to get his finger out and get on the phone to his agents pronto!!

When i watched the EU 2012 qualification Slovakia vs Armenia, i can say Martin Škrtel played so badly. we trushed them 0-4 at there home town and that isnt good sign to get a player of that caliber.

About Jonathan coming back, I think that has everything to do with our Indonesian tour. Strama will have him there in the squad to see how he could fit to his plans. Though it must be said that the tour won't show much, but it could show something.
