2012/2013 Forwards Rumors Thread

there are alot of decent youngsters out there who play regular first team football. muriel (udinese) abel hernandez (pelermo) rodrigo (benfica) or icardi (samp) are my picks. none of them would start right away for us but would all be great understudies for milito palacio and cassano. plus longo and livaja (hopefully he gets some first team exp at atalanta.

Muriel was injured for 3-4 months and injured he is better than Milito. Has more goals than basically all out strikers and only playd 7 games this season.This is 2013 Milito not 09-10 Milito!!!!

Cassano doesn't score goals......

Why do people think we have good forwards. Fine you can blame the MF for not being super creative but our strikers are old piles of crap.

Any striker we buy should be able to walk backwards and blindfolded into our starting 11

I don't get why we gave up out only striker in Livaja for a kid who could score 7 goals a game and we'd still bench him because Zanetti must Play!!!! We better have a god like kid in the youth team that scores a hat trick this weekend.

And yet, Milito is the best goal scorer in 2012, he more goals than all jUBe strikers combined, while Palacio has already 14. Cassano might not score much, but is creative as hell an assists. None of the is world class, but all three are still good enough, especially Palacio and Cassano.

Muriel is great potential, i'd love to see him here tho. And he has less goals from all our forwards 4 in 8, Palacio for instance has 14 in 26. And 4 assists.

I'd love to see Muriel here. When I said understudy I meant because he is alot younger than our other forwards snake. Chill out dude. Palacio is scoring goals for us but we still need younger options. Muriel has seria a exp and has a hell of alot of skill. Can't see him coming here tho unfortunately

Cassano doesn't score goals......

Last time I checked, Muriel had only 4 goals in Serie A this season. Milito has 8, Palacio has 7, Cassano (who apparently doesn't score) has 5, and even a midfielder Guarin has 4.

Not saying that Muriel isn't good, I think he has serious potential, but are current strikers aren't as bad as you are making them out to be. Too many times they are left there alone to fend to themselves with just long balls as service. Now they have better midfield support, they will score more.

Perhaps not quite to his extent. Plus he is supposed to be our main goal scoring threat. With our very individualist attacking style we really need whoever is upfront to perform more often then not. I don't think that it's a coincidence that when we won the treble we did have two strikers who were world class(one of which was browha's definition of world class) and both of which were fit for the majority of the season. Plus we had insanely talented Mario and the hard working Pandev. I think If we are to get back where we want to be we need at least one striker who can win games on his own and/or is super clinical.
