I believe JJM meant that he'd take Hernanes over Guarin, which doesn't mean that he is the best realistic option. Hernanes isn't good, but is better than Guarin.

We can't afford to risk that much on an out of form player. We have too many players like that. If we are gambling I would rather take that money and go buy a youngster. Finally start building for the future.

That's what came to my mind too. It's mind boggling that for all the effort we put in for Isla in the summer, we're now settling for Vucinic. Isla is an upgrade over Jonathan and can play CM too and is much younger and (I think) on lower wages. Better choice than Vucinic in pretty much every way.

Roma signed Bastos. Was quality for Lyon but he went to some Arabic club which is not a good sign IMO. Not sure if he would be of any use for Roma.

What d hell is wrong with inter or whomever is planning these buys. They fill my ears with oh we r planning for the future we want to focus on the young. Then the go make a deal with Juventus for guarin and Vucinic exchange. I don't care if guarin said he wanted to leave but Vucinic really, now they want me to forget about the absurdity of it and begin to show me possible formations where vVucinic wud b excellent (anything to get away from 3-5-1-1 huh). The deal is still rubbish, which ever formation they show its one we cud have use with our present players if guarin was sold.

With that money there are a million young talented players we can acquire. This sallah guy for one, Liverpool already snipping at his heels.

I don't have a problem with Hernanes...I think he is a player that Guarin can only dream of being!
Hernanes has a brain and he can outsmart a opposing player,while the traitor can only outmuscle his marker if he doesn't make a foul in the mean time...and when he shoots I always fear for the innocent people in row z or the birdies on the roof!
However when Hernanes shoots you know he is gona seriously test the goalie!
So what if he is one year older than Guarin...I judge players by class not by age or some other bs idea...

And LOL to people calling Hernanes fat and lazy...I mean WTF?!
