After seeing him some time ago at Toulons, from what i don't remember him individual, in a strong colombia side, and just one time after that in the friendly against eslovenia, i can't realy judge him.

But as far as i have seen, it fits the overall description. Strong, fast, good in the air and calm in possession. Thats exactly the description you read about him in colombian newspapers as well.

What makes me think, that he would be quite a good signing is, Pekerman judging him besides Franco and Balanta as his future cb.
And Del Bosque was interested in nominating him for spain, until he made clear playing for colombia.
Can't play that bad in a weak Granada side, if Del Bosque thinks about capturing him.

Sooooo we signed him or what?

Not yet. From what I've read most sources (Pedulla, CDS, Dimarzio) say there is agreement for him to come in the summer but Inter s trying to bring him now. Sources from Granada confirmed there was an offer.

and half of the time its freaking bandiera who does the calling out. he must have some kind penis envy towards the bigger football nations. just grow the fuck up dude. :work: :trolldad:

Half the time it's Bandiera? You mean me calling you out for Medel (you called him "world class" ffs) and calling "maji" out who says Cordoba is one of the greatest defenders in history, Murillo is good because he looks like Cordoba, Spanish newspapers compare him to Varane, and people on Sevilla/Valencia forums like him? Then he says he watches every Colombian player everywhere, including Murillo at Las Palmas?

I'm just questioning his credibility.

edit; He is, after all, the same person who says Guarin is a great player who has "the least to do with any of Inter's problems".

[...] this guy out who says Cordoba is one of the greatest defenders in history, and Murillo is good because he looks like Cordoba [...]

Actually you cant blame a colombian interista for rating Cordoba this high. Definetly one of the best defenders in colombian history besides Yepes or Leonel,... .
And Cordoba at Inter was, in is prime, a worldclass defender of his decade as well. I don't see him looking weak besides Aldair, Nesta, Samuel, Stam,... or others of his time.

Greatest .... of history always is wrong, because not comparable.
But if there would be a signing of a Radebe-lookalike cb, nobody would blame you for getting kind of euphoric and looking for similties.

As well as I watch some shit Serie B matches, or other minor football as well, to see loan-players/ upcoming play. So a colombian, who knows the quality of some u20 players of the selección, might as well follow them watching in Las Palmas,or sth. Not saying he does, just far from impossible.

If anything I'm harder on Colombian Players. I expect much from them than any dispassionate unattached observer would. Because I see them as representatives of myself; of my own personal identity, as a Colombian. And I attach their own failures to my failures, and their own triumphs to my own triumphs. And I am so much a utter perfectionist.

Nonetheless those who criticize me about my Murillo observations or because what I have said about Guarin are pretty sad and pathetic individuals.

They directly attack me because I say quote and quote " guarin is a great player that's being "scapegoated" by FIF? he has "nothing to do with any of our problems"? "

They are people who seem to be incapable of comprehending that when Guarin is out there on the pitch there are 10 other players beside him. They seem to single him out for all the miserys and pains this club experiences. They seem to ignore that there have been great players in the past in similar situations as Guarin. Who after leaving a club become much better players. We've seen it in inter with players that have left. We've seen it in other clubs. But obviously since I defend Guarin as not being entirely responsible for everything this team goes through, and being a scapegoat; which he is, who receives undue and unreasonable amounts of hate; which he does; I am suddenly unfit to comment on any player ever.

Jeison Murillo is a great player. But even if he wasn't it wouldn't be that much of a loss. He has whatever level is needed to play here. Because this really isn't that great of a club anymore.

If someone like Real Madrid or Barcelona or even Atletico or Manchester United or Arsenal were looking at him
I might be a bit reserved on whether or not he could succeed in those teams. They are all strong sides with good players and despite the fact that he has talent, and is a quality footballer, there are many very promising players who have failed at those clubs.

As for Inter. Murillo plays against better teams week in and week out than Inter does. He has more experience playing against World Class players than your Juan Jesus. He is a promising talent in the second best league in the world. I would have no worry about him succeeding at Inter.

But than again I'd have no worry about a lot of Colombian players succeeding here. Because the level of football is so low that most of them would walk on to the team.

Dont ignore the fact that we must lose millions in gate receipts because the security guards at san siro are just disguised interisti, who let their buddies in for free. Of the 3 times ive gone, i walked in twice without having my ticket validated.

Number one, you didn't say Guarin was a scapegoat and that wasn't the centerpiece of your argument as you like to make it out to be. I was paraphrasing. You said Guarin is a pretty good player that will wreck any other league he will play in. Fuck it, you even just said "other great players have been in the same situation". You also said he has nothing to do with our problems in your original post. Just because he isn't the biggest problem, doesn't mean he isn't one.

To defend Guarin's performances over the past one and a half years is to not watch Inter and bullshit about it. And I'm definitely not a Juan Jesus fanboy. Just to add, I've already given my personal opinion on Murillo, but also on giving Mancini the time and resources to do what he wants, be it recruit Brozovic or Murillo.

I also don't believe you watch him. Your defense was that you "watch every Colombian everywhere". And your "report" was giving a image of Cordoba, saying people on Valencia and Sevilla forums like him, looking up Spanish newspaper articles (marca ), and checking transfermarkt to see what games he played in. No personal spin or opinion on him whatsoever. Then you said "people on Granada forums say he should be sold for 20 million. And he's on the background page, imagine how good he must be"

Then the bias factor. eg. Cordoba is one of the greatest defenders in the history of football...

For that reason I think you're just being a jackass. Come on man. Like seriously.

I can imagine how infinitely absurd this post would be if you actually watch Inter, Granada, and Las Palmas and you are in fact "overcritical" of Colombians, but I just don't buy it.

GdS says that Campa and Nagatomo are injured(he injured himself at Asian cup?!) and that now we need a RB and we could try for Darmian or Widmer (but he is expensive) or Montoya.

Signing an improving rb is indeed important. Personally i thinks its more needed than Brozovic, or any other cm coming. D'Ambrosio is decent. The rest is insteady (Nagatomo/Jonathan) with huge problems in defence at some time, is to young, to make him starter without competition (Dodo) or in no way a rb (Campagnaro). Campagnaro isn't rocksolid in defense (whats the benefit playing a cb as rb), neither can't cross a single ball or play some combination/running game. He is more or less useless to our game.

Getting Darmian would be a huge signing. Catalog is decent defender, (more then our other wb) accurate crosses, some ability to leave the line and have some view for the depth.

D'Ambrosio - Darmian would be an improvement in defense and offense. Defence as well as it allows the cb to concentrate on their buisness and quit losing a lot of balls in building up play. Because that makes them (esp. Ranocchia) look worse, then they play, losing possession in midfield, big gape behind them.
wb on both sides that can combinate and carry a play forward is needed. That we won't get a rb playmaker like Maicon easily is obvious. But I see Darmian as a yet very strong, capable of improving, no integrationtime needing possibiliy.

On Top italian national. Might be between 8M and 15M. Quite some fee, but needed in my view. Far more than any other position (after signing wingers before).

Darmian for sure. He is lighting up Serie A in the past two years. Montoya is as mediocre as they come, and that Widmer guy i haven't seen.
