Probably Nordahl of Milan but that's back in the 50s.

Good question though, would love to see the answer. And who the oldest Capocannoniere of a top team was while at it.

Luca Toni at 38? Not a top team but the oldest.

Still baffled by all Toni achieved in his career. So uncoordinated and limited. Gives me hope for lukaku tbh

Luca Toni is literally the type of player we are looking for.

Bring him out of retirement.

Or he'll go to one of our biggest rivals and either kill Napoli's free flowing swift attacks or get in the way of Ronaldo at Juventus. Plus he is terrible in transition as he is not comfortable on the counter

He was pretty good at CA at Sampdoria and in his first year with us, I think it's actually our midfield the one that sucks at transition.

Just sign Llorente for free, otherwise every club keeps the pressure on us because they know we need desperately strikers.

Di Natale was also old and made a lot of goals, if i remember correctly. I agree anyway, Cavani could give us still a lot, at last for 2 years. I would like to get him + a younger striker.

It seems to me that it would be better to sign Balotelli for free, 28 years old.

Perisic got the message. Nainggolan got the message. By now, I am sure even Icardi has got the message. You may not have understood it yet. :p #NotForEveryone

Yeah,Yeah let's collect a nursing home, of course it is better to take Fernando Llorente for 34 years, Edin Dzeko for 33 years, Edinson Cavani for 32 years, the first two have above-average salaries, Cavani has a top.
For the last couple of years, Baloteli has been behaving well, he doesn't fire houses, doesn't break cars, doesn't throw out the T-shirts of those clubs for which he plays )

Let's say Belotti for 60mln. and Balotelli for free would be a good option.

If Quags can dominate Serie A at 36/37 than Cavani can easily be scoring tons for 3-4 years

Problem with Cavani, he scores some brilliant goals but he's also capable of some comical misses

All in all I'm behind this. He can take Toro under his wing and teach him world class movement/positioning and heading technique.

I hope we get one of Leao or Pepe, and one of Kean or Dybala, while giving Icardi away. Then we can play some good football, not the way Conte likes but he should be able to adapt to it.

Yeah we have Conte as our coach so it's not him adapting to anything, it's the players adapting to Conte.

If we are Sampdoria and we are making the decision to replace Quagliarella, then perhaps.

Otherwise there are a bit too much variable to be certain.

Has there ever been a 33+ capocannoniere from a big club?

Oldest ones I can remember at a big club:

Dzeko - 31
Del Piero - 33
Totti - 30
Pruzzo - 31

This season is unfortunately a 5 season setback. We were 1.5 mercato away from becoming a top team, now won't really have expectations of winning an important trophy until 2025.

Why not ?
The key is the sale Icardi for 70 million in Napoli, in theory we can have one of the most powerful attacks in our history:
Lukaku, Cavani, Balotelli, Lautaro
