IMO we should be all over Firmino to partner up Lautaro and sign Santi Gimenez for 25 million.

Santi isn’t ready to be a sure starter for Inter yet but he will provide some goals and can develop further. Next season, after a CL campaign and topscorers title in the Eredivisie he wil cost 60+ million. He will be out of our range by then.

I do think Firmino is a real possibility though and he checks all the boxes. I’m not sure I want him starting every game but he’s still a good player. Him and Lautaro would drive opponents mad with all the pressing they do.

We need certainties for that third striker option, especially if correa is staying. Dzeko was a certainty for some period of time when lukaku was injured, and it helped us a lot. If we somehow miss this and get another correa, we are in deep shit.

Relying just on lukaku and lautaro for a whole season with their inconsistencies is something that can cost us dearly.
