fantastic!!! big up to their coach....I'm really happy egypt won it because of him. He is a real man with big balls...his decision making in the tournament was fantastic...egypt played probably the best football and are deserved winners.

excellent!!!

nooooo i wish egypt had lost. believe it or not, most foreigners in egypt wanted them to lose. Except for the good 20%, the rest are really RACIST.

Egyptians racists? Did I get that I right! LOL, whatever! I have been to Egypt and had many Egyptians friends, the truth couldn't have been further. Maybe I misunderstood what you said.

Anyway, it was nice to see Mido in the stadium and making up with the coach afterwards during the celebrations. Maybe that interview with the Daily Star misquoted him or something.

I don't know about that, but it really baffles me. I hope you don't have something personal!

I don't know what kind of racism you are talking about? I have been there, and it's a diverse nation. You see blond Egyptians, black egyptians etc. and things like this are non-existent.

Ok Hamed, U dont seem to get so let me break it down for u. a black foreigner (you can tell the difference between black egyptians and foreigners) will sometimes be called "chocolate" while walking in the street. when they call you they use the term "samara" (meaning blackie). If their team beats a black african team they taunt you, let it be nigeria or cameroon or ivory coast or whatever. U wont see me taunting them if Canada (even though that's a little farfetched) beat tunisia or morocco or libya. Other than that i do like the egyptians.

First of all, Samra or Asmar isn't a taunt. I don't know if you speak arabic or not, but Asmar refers to a dark-skinned person.

Also, it's an affectionate term. For example, a dark-skinne movie star is nicknamed 'El Najm El Asmar' which means the black star. And nobody looks at that badly.

I think you are projecting things that would apply in Europe or North America. For example, you won't hear Denzel Washington being called the 'Black star' or so, it is considered offenisve, because of historic stuff.

But in Egypt and Middle-east, Asmar isn't offesnvie whatsoever. It is heavily used in songs, and in songs it represents something very beautiful and exotic, it's hard to translate it. But in no way it's racist.

I am not denying you may find some racists, but to say that only 20% isn't racist is wrong and outlandish, I was stunned to hear it. Some of my family members spent long years in Egypt, and I've been there like I said.

As usual, I don't want to turn this political, but it's good to know something about the culture before making statements like that. If you want any clarifications or anything, you can PM me!

Some people should just think before they open their mouths (or type in this case). How the phuck can you have the nerve to judge a freakin whole nation and call them racists? It's so moronic there are no words for it.

Mikel's 18 years old but plays like a veteran. He impressed me more than Lio Messi in the YWC final.

He was chosen as the best youngster in Africa today. What a talent. Sheer class.

I've seen John Obi Mikel play once, and the smooth touch he has on the ball is simply incredible. For an 18 year old, I don't know why it's ridiculous to put him on the same map as Lionel Messi, whom is overhyped and compared to Diego Maradona (ridiculous, I think).
