Just like that? The timing of this injury is a living nightmare.
It's both a 'good' and bad thing. Bad thing is that it's the worst stretch of matches to miss. The 'good' thing is that the first 10 days of his injury we won't play any matches - if he got injured outside of international break, that's most likely 2 or 3 additional matches that he would miss.

The sensible approach is to play Acerbi-DeVrij-Darmian. But Carlos deserves a shot at the LCB spot (though most likely Inzaghi will play Dimarco as LCB and Carlos as LWB...)

Very poorly timed injury for us. Lucky we have a few players who can play there— Augusto, Darmian, Acerbi(although I’d prefer someone who’s better going forward playing there). Bisseck played on the left at Aarhus right? This is definitely the moment to soft launch him if there ever was one, not against Juve though.

With 2 out of three "starters" in the back out, this spells trouble. This is especially true since Darmian, Acerbi, Barella and Dimarco will probably see major minutes vs Ukraine on Monday, where Italia needs at least a draw to secure a Euro spot. Sending healing vibes to Pavard and Bastoni for a pair "miracle" speedier recoveries than reported.

Now would be a great time for nation wide Covid problems that would stop everything for a month.

Well Limone had a time to try Augusto in Bastoni spot but no, he forced Acerbi to play there ofc

Having to see Acerbi try to fill in at his position on the ball shows how important he is to the team in that regard.

Thats why Augusto should play there but we have Italian coach so dont expect that.

Well, I'm okay if he is getting better, but let's not rush him back. Maybe as a bench option for second half?

As much as I hate it it’s the right call here.

Limone doesn't wanna risk but Augusto seems like a more adequate option to LCB spot. He's technically superior to Acerbi, also seems to have good sense of awareness which helps a lot defensively. His ability in the ball possession will significiantly improve our game. We are far more reckless with Acerbi as LCB.

Gobbi made things easier for our defence. We should be expecting a different approach against Napoli. The latter will be a bigger threat, for sure.

I agree. I think one of the reasons Inzaghi is hesitant to start Augusto is because he wants a wingback option off the bench.
