I know he's been played as AM/SS this season but his attributes don't convince me that he would be successful in that position at Inter.
What are his attributes? Messi plays central-ish with all the freedom he can have. Obviously Sanchez is not as good as Messi, but the way he plays he is very similar - he is very light and can move either way, if anything, playing in centre offers him more freedom to go either way of an defender.

And I've been watching a lot of Udinese lately... because of him mostly, but because they play so fun. And whatever doubts there are about him, are over for me. He is not just flashy dribbling anymore... he is becoming quite a deadly player now. Again today vs Samp, he is simply ripping it apart from all angles. His goal he almost messed up... who the hell heads a ball with the back of his head or why the hell was he running with his back to the goal in the first place in such a situation... but the pass to Di Nat was awesome and he is the best player on the pitch easily.

The fact that he is the most fouled player in Serie A speaks a lot of volumes... he is becoming almost unplayable. All of the world will be after him. We should put all our effort into signing him really. From now on until the summer until we have him.

I didn't say anything about him being useless, flash, etc. I just said that if he plays out wide then he will be more useful and will use the talents he has better. But what makes me confused on whether to get him or not is far from that, it's the asking price of Pozzo.

It has already rise to 30! If Liverpool and Chelsea are really interested in him as the media claims then this asking price isn't getting any lower. They spent 35 ml pounds on Carrol LOL! Why not the same for Sanchez.

No EPL side is really interested in him.. It was all Pozzos bullshit, so that he can rise his prise..

Had great game today though, one of the best this season. Still not worth over 15, 20 tops :p

Well... sorry, I didn't distance the rest of my post to the part I meant as a reply to your post (the first paragraph was an answer to you). And Udinese used him out on the wing... it was only once they moved him to centre they started to take full advantage of his abilities because a player like that who can leave half of opponents team on their ass needs to be given freedom. And the best way to give someone freedom is to move him into centre and let him move wherever he sees fit. If you limit him to one wing, he becomes easier to target. If Messi was playing just on one side, it would be bit easier to silence him as you can get someone that is directly responsible for keeping him out of the game or just organise marking him. Same applies for Sanchez who is too an absolutely awesome dribbler with ability to go through the slightest of cracks and change direction within a blink of an eye.

And to be honest, at start of january I considered Sanchez's price to be around 15 mil, at best 20, because he had shown very little more than flash until that. But after keeping a close eye throughout the month and more due to several reasons, I think he might as well be worth 30 mil.

Those rumors about English Premier League clubs might as well have been "leaked" by Udinese, but at the moment I don't see why they shouldn't be interested in him. Every top club should be really watching just about every game he plays in this season. If he keeps on working like he has and therefore improving he will be one of the very best players in the world within next 2 years already.

And once again I add, I rated him 15-20 mil one month ago, but with every game I'm more and more convinced that lad really might be the real deal. And how badly we'd need a proper dribbling superstar of our own to dazzle the possible young (foreign) fans watching us in Serie A and Champions League. The prospect of what he might become is really worth the risk if you ask me - not alone he might turn out to be a 60-70+ million player if he continues developing at the rate he is this season, he might also represent a great possibility of growth of the clubs fanbase abroad and Italy too thanks due the style of his play. I'm sure some pessimistic or even conservative one's would laugh, but taking the risk with him is probably the closest we could become to having our own Messi.

there is no way in hell inter are getting sanchez in the summer, our only hope was if he didn't improve until the season ended where he would demand a transfer and sold for scraps, but this bastard apparently decided he wanted to actually be good at the same time inter started negotiations

he will either stay at udinese or be bought by an english club for around 40m in the summer unless he starts playing like the real alexis sanchez

Well yes, he has been quite good in the last few games that I have started to watch as well. If his performances stay up like this, then we would surely need 30m to sign him and it won't be an unreasonable amount in that case.

Manchester City has also been rumored to be interested in him which distances him even further from joining us.

I'm starting to think Sanchez is secretly reading this forum :p

When we first started to seriously talk about him, whenever somebody was discussing his abbility, the stats were brought up. Saying he isn't prductive, nothing comes from him, very few assists, goals etc.

Can somebody update us on those as it stands now ? :p

Maybe Vito (?)

His price was 25m€, probably even more if Inter had seriously offered anything close to that. 25m€ is too much for Inter.
