I'd expect at least 2 more arcs. Finishing it with this one wouldn't be impossible if it turns out to be some 40+ chapter long arc, but even for Ishida it would be really difficult to prevent chaos in a scenario like that. He has a lot of open questions and storylines, that are near impossible to solve and develop within one arc. If he manages to covincingly do that he would just be a genius.

As much as I love TG, I'd be really interested to see what Ishida could do apart from it. Does anyone know if he had any other good stuff before TG or if this is his first manga?

Still the new stuff is exciting. They announced new arc, where it's a 5 v. 5 tournament between Universe 6 and 7. In Universe 6, the kid in the middle is a Saiyan, but Saiyans in that universe are good, and live in their original planet and haven't invaded Planet Vegeta. They also have evolved to have no tails. That Frieza looking guy is the emperor of their universe but he's good.

Can't wait to see if the alternate universe Saiyans have some alternate Super Saiyan form like Ultimate Saiyan or something

Hopefully the storyline is quite serious then, I hate how it's become more of a comedy & joke now... I watched a youtube video somewhere saying that in the tournament Piccolo could become super Namekian god .. Makes sense in a way, as he's going to be fighting in a tournament including Vegeta & Goku, so he must have an increase in strength. Would be good to see him not so useless.

People believe this because they don't understand the Japanese dialogue and think the Japanese voices sound cooler because of this. Japanese dubs are just as cringe, if not worse than English dubs.

There were hints that he would get back to training. Everyone and their mother is at this tournament, even his wife, but Gohan is in a "business conference" back on earth. Who knows what could they could be stirring up.

I think DB and OP are the exceptions. Although the OP Japanese audio is still pretty good. I just love the Funimation dub.

Frost is going to be a sick character.

It is mentioned he's the emperor of their universe. I wonder if the Frieza family extends throughout all the universes, sort of like Beerus. Most of all I just want to see what transformations the Saiyan and Frieza-race people in that universe have.

The sickest part is that the Cell-looking dude is probably the strongest character there.

What?! No way. Japanese are better, they sound more genuine and they are the best at voice acting because of the huge experience they have.

I prefer the Japanese dubs because they're more authentic to me. I can't blame anyone if he listens to other dubs. Some people like to not read subtitles, others just want to hear a voice they can instantly understand. I have experienced, that shows like DBZ, Inuyasha, Pokemon and Dedective Conan sound way better in German since I watched them like that as a kid. Nostalgia plays a huge role in that. If you're used to it like that, everything else sounds strange.

I do agree with Javier'sSon here that you get the most authentic experience form japanese dubs, because they just do it like it was intended from the producers and they have a huge culture and history with dubbing animes.

Although it is widely known, that DBZ is a huge exception for this. I like the English or German voices better there.

In the end it's to each their own.

I agree with that. I certainly think some dubs are far better than others. I generally prefer subbed animes except for Dragon Ball stuff, but I've watched some dubbed things which were god awful, while others are done quite well. The Attack On Titan dub for example seems to have been done very well based on the two episodes I saw of it

I can't stand most Japanese dubs, I wish I could but the voices really throw me off, and a lot of the time I'd experiment before choosing whether I will watch subs or dubs. I just find the English dubs to match the voices better, in Japanese you could have a big strong character with a really high pitched voice, etc. I agree though that most the time the Japanese voice acting has more enthusiasm and matches the scenes better.

Just watched 24 straight episodes of Brotherhood (and the last 24 btw) and it was pure anime orgasm. I just couldn't stop because the last ark goes really long.

What an anime. The character development is insane as even the tertiary characters are likable at some extent. I am currently downloading it (pain in the ass as it is an old anime) to re watch it as I didn't fully understand some concepts about the transmutation circles (really deep shit).

Fully recommended. It starts a little bit slow (the premise is not really well put IMO), but it get awesome after the 10th episode or so.

In the future I will try the 2003 version which is totally different as I have read. Do you guys recommend it?

I haven't seen it and kind of refrain since it's really hard to watch it in that order. Once you've seen the glory that is Brotherhood you feel disappointed with everything. So I've heard.

I have to rewatch FMAB soon as well. Just the best executed anime I've ever seen. The model for any shounen series and generally execution wise. I'm going to repeat myself here, but if you really enjoyed FMAB give Magi a shot. It's really similar in a way I can't describe.

I watched the original FMA after Brotherhood. It has its moments where is it is quite different and some of those moments wok, but for the most part it's simply a weaker retelling of the story with much shittier music
