It's a matter of days before we are forced to use some Peppino Prisco's type of irony to cope with what is about to happen.
For example, to improvise, “I strongly object to Conte: Inter as a club has always cared about principles and tried to do good, but becoming a reformatory/correctional institution simply goes too far”.
I'm not up to the standards and it leaves much to be desired, but it's still a work-in-progress.

Meanwhile, television host and long-time face of interism Paolo Bonolis (whose variety game-show “Ciao Darwin”, among other trashy confrontations between stereotypes which mimick natural selection, aired with a tasty “Juventus vs Everybody” a couple of weeks ago) already told us his way to face the inevitable:

Just curious! Why would Rocco Siffredi (aka Juventus) would be a problem.
Because that means our wife has not so high moral standards?
Or because after the experience with Rocco we (Inter) look not so competitive?

Sorry, but "in line with the direction we would like to take"? Who would like to take? I have never seen Inter playing even close to Sarri's style.

Spalletti has moved Inter from a counter attacking style to a more possession based style. Sarri can take that to the next level, whereas Conte would take us back to a more counter attacking way. Thats what I meant by Sarri being more "in line with the direction we would like to take".

Sarris style would take too long to implement and safe to say most interisti is done with waiting. We need trophies now.

The best things take time to build. I would rather wait and end up with a proper winning cycle with a progressive playing style, rather than get a coach who squeezes whatever best results he can get in the short term, and leaves the team needing another "year zero". Thats what I think Conte will do. If it were up to me, I would build Inter via the following progression:

Spalletti => Sarri => Pep/Klopp

Unfortunately, looks like Juve are trying hard for Sarri.

Ever since Mancini left we aren't year zero anymore. We still have a long way to go, Spalletti made some miracles along the way together with his failures and here we are.

Ready for the next step. I don't care about winning Scudetto in the next two years, becoming a club that never again misses out on CL football is the first thing on my mind.

Its basically year zero if Conte comes, a reimplementation of an opposing style.

I'd rather burn him alive now and hire someone else more qualified and applicable to get the results.

I’m just worried about what will happen if we have a string of bad results with Conte. He will have absolutely 0 goodwill with the fans. The environment could get toxic pretty quick.

I’m undecided af when it comes to Conte.

On one hand, he’s as Juve as it gets. It’s like Juventus hiring Materazzi.

On the other hand, I’m sure this hurts them more than us, especially when you consider that he chose us over them.

One thing I do know: I do rate Conte as a coach. I like the football he gets his teams to play and I like his tactical flexibility. I remember looking at the Italy squad last Euros, 2016 in shock. I looked at that squad full of mediocre unremembarkbe bastards in horror, thinking “what the hell is this shit?” Then they turned up and played some great football. He made those mediocre ass players put their life on the pitch. I remember Graziano fucking Pelle looking like a decent striker.

Conte brings INTENSITY. We need that shit. I remember just watching him on the sidelines for Chelsea, jumping like a madman, with his hair piece waving in the air. That shit was scary. No wonder they gave their all on the pitch. Conte is a winner.

BUT…he’s a Juventino. At the same time tho, I remember when he was coaching Juventus. He always spoke highly of us. Maybe I’m remembering wrong tho, but for some reason that shit stuck with me. That’s not something a rubentino would do. That’s not something like that scum piece of shit Nedved would do. We were at our absolute worst, and when the media had a field day taking jabs at us, Conte always spoke highly of us, saying that we are a great club. He had no reason to, really. When asked, while still coaching Juve I might add, if he would ever coach us, he said “it’s possible, of course, I’m a professional”. I’m paraphrasing, but that’s what I remember. Please correct me if I’m wrong about this, but that’s what I remember. I remember respecting HIM back then, despite hating his piece of shit team. He’s also on record calling Juventus thieves back in 2007 when he was coaching some Serie B club. The way he left Juventus as well makes me think that he feels nothing but hate for them tbh.

Maybe he’s changed? Conte from the 90’s shouldn’t really be seen as the same person as Conte of 2019 imo. Imagine fucking WINNING with him tho. Imagine taking the Scudetto from Juve with THEIR fucking hero. That would be something.

I’ve accepted that he’s coming and I’m trying to see the positives. Time will tell.

I'm just afraid the fans will turn on him as soon as we get a bad run of results.

They’ll turn just as quickly when those results change tho. Us fans are fickle. We care about winning, as does Conte. More than many managers I would say. He’s got that aura around him.

You can say that about any coach really, maybe Mourinho would get more leeway.

Agree to disagree. Conte or not, Inter needs a complete overhaul in the summer. Only the defense + Brozo and 9n are good enough for starters and a total change of the formation and style could be conducted over that core. This year we have also more freedom on the transfer market which should bring more quality players on board instead of some patches as Vecino, Borja, Politano, etc.

Don't have one.
More and more rumours that oriali is coming here with conte as a sort of mediator between the coach, team, and the management. I would love that, he is interista through and through.

Fans would turn on Zanetti himself if he were in charge and things were looking bad. Interisti want success and they want it now. This ain't Spurs or Dortmund. Both huge fanbases but neither one have close to the pressure of winning like Inter do. Therefore they can build with their youth teams and implement their own style of football without the massive pressure of a fanbase and media.

Conte, like him or not, is probably the guy that can deliver or come closest to delivering instant success.

Meanwhile in jube world, just to give you guys some perspective, jube fans are shitting themselves all over the place because they don't want Sarri "the bum" and many rumours say that him they are gonna get. Would prefer Pochetino or Pep, but might have tough luck there.

Looks like interesting season is coming around the corner.

What a weird fucking world it's going to be seeing Zanetti, Oriali, Marotta, and Conte all sitting together on the same side.

Hoping that zanetti and orali show up wearing hazmat suits!
