Having a winning mentality is a quality... Which some of our goons lack because they just ain't... Good enough to dominate games on a regular against similar or better clubs ... Technical quality let's u down and then ur mentality drops...
Brozo lacks concentration and then he goes super nova, starts fucking up everything... Easy passes
Ok having Vecino and Borja around doesn't help...
It's a chain reaction that leads to disaster

Mentality is definitely part of the quality. And it can be learned.

Conte is already going ahead of the curve planned for this team. Going out in CL was unfortunate and perhaps not part of the plan, but requirement of going to knockout stage after this group draw definitely wasn't there. While in Serie A, we are leading the league. Add few reinforcements in January and get the big (small) boys back and it just looks so much better from there.

Forget the injuries and our bench strength.

When the CL group was announced and season started, if anyone said we would be top of the league and out of CL, most fans would have accepted that.

Now let's look at where we can expect to be 5-6 months down the line. I still don't expect Inter to win the league, and not winning would not be a disappointment. Juve still have a much stronger team, and a stronger bench. 2nd spot is a realistic expectation, but we need some strengthening for it in Jan.

All true - but don't let Zhang hear you :) For the club a 2nd place finish is as good as 3rd or 4th, i.e., it gets you in the CL but that's about it. So Conte has to sell the idea that the January signings are needed to win the scudetto. Then, if the Zhangs believe the new guys might make a difference, maybe they will loosen the purse strings a little...

The coach had asked for the players that missed the chances. A big part of the responsibility lies on him. If a manager gets the blame due to the incompetence of his subordinates, then Conte should be taking blame for the incompetence of the guys he brought us over (Lukaku, Lazaro and the whole 3-5-2 system in particular). And of course he should also be getting the merit for the good results in Serie A so far under the same parameters.

No coach is responsible for his players missing sitters even if he asked for these players. He cant teach them how to score goals or not miss sitters. He can ask for any player and they may miss no matter how good they are, and a player that might come in who was shit and starts banging in goals, case in point had Lukaku scored those chances he would have been man of the match.

And even though i am not a fan of 352 there is an argument to be made that its not working so well becaose of the players missing.

It is his fault if they do not bring the results.

And the 352 has been disastrous in Europe.

In Italy I've said it many times that 3 central midfielders and 2 strikers is a great recipe.

No it's not his fault, it's the players fault. Again he cant teach them how to score a sitter.

And i agree 352 is not a good formation in general for top teams.

Conte protest against the media
By Football Italia staff

Inter have cancelled Antonio Conte’s press conference in protest at the Corriere dello Sport publishing an “offensive letter” about the coach.

The statement from the club this afternoon came as a surprise and arrived just as the journalists had gathered in the conference room.

“Yesterday, the Corriere dello Sport published an offensive letter towards our coach, justifying its aggression in the comment,” read the statement.

“In order to send a signal to all media that they must ‘guarantee respect of people,’ we will not hold a press conference today.”

This is referring to something published in the letters section of the Corriere dello Sport newspaper on Friday, sent in by a Bologna supporter.

It spoke of “relishing” Inter’s Champions League elimination after a defeat to “the Barcelona B team, which showed the clapped-out coach how you play football.

“I contest the beatification of Conte, who in his career, despite the victories, has never shown good football.”

The editor of the letters section had replied noting Inter "threw away the Champions League" by loaning Mauro Icardi to PSG.

---

Not sure how I feel about this. Going by this translation, it seems like any other criticism published in football newspapers. Kinda looks like Conte has a thin skin.
On the other hand, fuck CdS.

I can understand the reaction, but it was the wrong reaction. You really want to hit them?

Then free publicity is not the best move, you could deny any interview on their newspaper for the next five years.

Or you can deny a good spot on the stands to their journalists during the matches, and that would hit them even harder.

Conte may not be thick-skinned enough, but I definitely agree with the Fuck CdS bit. Their editor is a sad piece of shit called cucci, who's anti-Inter bias goes back not years, but decades. My only criticism of the club is that they should have targeted cds in particular rather than the press at large.

Calling him "thin skined" after the first time in history of our club that the club said fuck it we have to protect our own...

You guys are bitches... Honestly. Trying to come out as strong dudes behind the keyboy.

This is what big teams do always, that don't put up with shit from media and stuff.

But hey, what do I know... Conte is thin skinned ahahaha ... Fuck it

He got annoyed cause of an opinion of a Bolognese peasant? :yao:

Well, I think we need to ensure he never comes around these parts. I'm sure reading some of Brehme's posts could lead him to commit suicide.

i guess it wasn't so much what that guy wrote in the letter, but that the journalist supported it as if he was a random football fan in a bar.

Good. They shouldn't respond to it. It's one of the million oversimplified thoughts floating around the internet with no perspective and highly reactionary, in the least amount out of words possible. Why this comment and not a well thought-out one? Corriere was going for that scumbag Ric Flair cheap shot for sure, and they can fuck off with it.

Having said that, I'm all with that decision, fuck the intellectual prostitution. Hope Conte now understands how it is difficult to be on the other side, where you're being attacked and put under fire constantly by the biased media that's owned by the mafioso family that owns the federation. It doesn't matter if the team is packed with Italians, it has never been about patriotism, these are money and power driven corporations that sought chaos and instability in Inter ranks particularly, while protecting and deliberately ignoring any scandalous situations that happens in juBe (the Lazio game the papers entirely played it down and ignored the despicable behaviors of the players like when Cuntdrado picked a fight with their cunt captain.. had it been Inter the papers would have printed a half meter square picture on the front page with the fight and wrote some wicked headline like "primitive animals fighting after a humiliation in the Olympico stadium".

Fuck the Italian press and fuck the whole federation, I hope Conte now gets how it feels being with the oppressed misjudged clan.

Exactly! The fact that some random bologna asshole may take time off from scarfing down fettuccine to insult Inter's coach (or one of our players for that matter) may be par for the course. But for the buffoon who calls himself a journalist at corriere dello sport to actually 1) publish the idiot fan's insults, 2) approve of them and 3) "add his own hatred", as he put it, is unacceptable. This was not some juventus fan spewing bile because that's what they feel required to do, this was someone who was supposed to be impartial. Except he proved to be anything but.

Starting to become worried about the way he reads the game. Not a single right sub, again.
