In Armenian it would be Hayastan (Armenia), Vrastan (Georgia), Rusastan (Russia), Hndkastan (India) Parskastan(Iran) and Chinastan(China). Basically, Stan means territory of a particluar nation.
As far as Tajikistan goes, they are Iranian speakers and they can understand Afghanis and vice versa. Forgot about Pakistan, Afghanistan and Kazakstan
