I was pretty jealous when Vidal came on for Barca

Yup and Valero started for us and the guy who scored the winner was our player 6 months ago

if this was roma they would have been thrashed 6-0 easily
the derby tired the hell out of us
Radja miss was for us more than what messi miss was for barca- with all respect

We are Inter and we are back time for the likes of Roma and Napoli ,psg and man city fans to realize that

These are the last games of Europe’s best teams against Barca at Camp Nou.

Barca - Juve 3-0
Barca - Milan 4-0
Barca - Roma 4-1
Barca - Bayern 3-0
Barca - P$G 6-1
Barca - City 4-0
Barca - Arsenal 3-1
Barca - Chelsea 3-0

Dont know about you but I am very happy with the way we are playing as a team that experiences the CL for the first time in a long time. This was a good step up. We aren’t intimidated or scared. We need quality no doubt but the character is there, which is more than you can ask for at this point.
Some of u don’t seem to remember the Inter that used to shit its pants in the CL before the Mou era. We never played confidently or looked composed against big teams. Even if it happened it was rare.

Coutinho is really great after playing for Barcelona... he's really worth the money paid... he can control the ball however he wants...

Not entirely true, also these matches were all with Messi.

“You cannot come here to defend and try to score on one counter-attack, you need to play better with the ball if you want to achieve something in this stadium.

I am disappointed in Spalletti in not being pragmatic and going for the boring 0-0 draw.He stuck to his philosophy and went for a win here which is something he should be lauded for but i just cant get myself to do it.He said in his post match presser that you cant go to Barca and defend all the time and hope to get 1 counter and score but imo that is exactly what every team that has ever gotten something out there barring Real have done.We dont have the experience or the quality to play our game there. We need to know our limits.

You cant outpass Barca at the Camp Nou.You also cant expect to hold the ball for a long time there when they press like crazy.Thats in their genes. You dont play to the oppositions strength. We did that.Spalletti has been managing games in Europe for more than 10 years now.How does he not know this? Why stick to the same formation all the time?

When we lost in 2003 to a Barca team that was having a nightmare season domestically and finished 6th in the league we hardly got a whiff of the ball in the 1st game.Cuper realized that and played a more defensive game at San Siro and earned us a very important point.I am certain Spalletti will not do this and once more allow Barca enough on the counter at the San Siro next to qualify on matchday 4 as the top team and jeopardise our qualification in the process.Sure high risk and high rewards and we might sneak in a win but thats highly doubtful. This was the perfect game to bore them to death and get a point playing some boring football.More than some philosophy i prefer the realism of the money that comes with progress from this stage.

Its possible that seeing them without Messi made Spallo feel like we could play our game there and bring home a win and he gambled and that he will change tact next game and i would love it if this happens but i am convinced that is not the case.

Spalletti is not the coach for us long term.Ofcourse many of us know this. But imo he will never amount to anything on the continental scene. He will get us a UCL spot next year too.But i dont think he can win the league or in Europe.Next season should be his last here. And then it should be Cholo.Spallo is a nice guy and he is getting us playing some neat stuff but its the naivete of it all at the Camp Nou against a Messi less Barca which after coaching for 2 decades confirms what i have always felt about him.Its harsh after what should still be seen as a good performance but i just feel in my heart its true.Long term Spalletti is not the solution for us.

We are a Maicon and a Sneijder away from being a contender for scudetto and semifinalist of champions league. Look at player by player and compare. Icardi = Milito, Perisic = Eto'o, De Vrij = Samue, Miranda = Cordoba etc..

Second season Eto'o was brilliant. First he was decent but really lack scoring the chances he had (unlike Milito).
Obviously a striker do much more things than score, but he has to basically score and don't miss clear chances too.

We are actually more a cambiasso away than a sneijder. The MF next to brozo is a big step down. Vecino compared to cambiasso is definitely a further gap than 9ggolan and wes

I actually think that if we can get an world class holding midfielder Brozovic will even be much better then now, even though he is one of our best players the last months. When Brozovic has someone who does the dirty work for him he can become more involved then now. With Vecino or Gags next to him and Borja before him he needs to do alot of defending even when he goes forward he has to come back in time because of the other midfielders around him. I would like to see him next to someone like Matic or Kanté.

Now i'm not saying Inter should buy these players or even make a chance of buying them but that kind of player will make Brozovic play even better then now.

I also like the idea of Brozo-Barella-9go. All 3 have creativity, all 3 work hard and can win balls back. It's ideal to have a guy who do the dirty work but That's a perfect trio of complete midfielders.

the moment we started attacking Barca in their half and pressing them there it looked like Barca is vulnerable too. Had Politano scored after the backhill pass the onward scenario would be different. We should play for 3 points at San Siro and we are capable of that. imo

True, we look much much better on first 20min both first and second half when we decide to high pressing them. But then Spalletti think already calculated about upcoming match and we didnt have stamina to press a whole match after the derby two days before. When we let them taking control thats actually when we struggling escaping from Barca attack. Next match at Meazza with fresher leg, I wouldnt mind if we take a risk like that and high pressing them since Barca actually quite shock with that tactic, Bein commentator even saying Barca bit suprised with how we play and taste bit their own tactic.

I must say that the reaction of Spalletti and the players to the loss is something very important that not many people notice it. No more "we lost but we tried the best" and all that shit, they were disappointed and angry with themselves, and that's how they should react.
Last season, in the "dark period" between December and February, the team did turnover when Spalletti stopped being mister nice guy that always supported the players and criticized them in his interviews.

It's time for us to change our approach to the game if we want to be top team, and it's starts with reactions like those. I believe in this team and i think things will go well this season.
