We play rounds untill 30 and then we start with playoffs.
The top 6 teams of the competition play games against each other. And the points after round 30, get halved. so for example 60 becomes 30. 63 becomes 61.Playoff 2 are the Italic teams. These 8 teams will be divided in 2 parts. So 4 | 4 and all teams start with zero points. The top teams of their 'mini' competitions, play against each other a semi final. And then a big final against the #4 of PO1.
Playoff 3 are the 2 last teams of the competition. They play 5-6 matches against each other. The one who has the most points at the end will have to play against teams of the second division. The one with the least points, goes to the second division.'

The 6 teams that played in play-off 1 last season :

1.RSC Anderlecht
(Former)player that you will know maybe : Ludo Coeck (he played for Inter) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludo_Coeck

2. SV Zulte Waregem

3. Club Brugge

4. Standard

5. Genk

6. Lokeren

Just saw that there is an interesting talent in Belgium, well there are multiple but this guy caught my eye, Massimo Bruno. He is of Italian decent and seems keen on playing for Italy. He also is a Juve fan apparently. Fuck him for that.

Any Belgian who has seen him can tell us what they think of him as a player?

Has been a while since I was here.

An update from the Belgian league this season.

My team, Standard de Liège is doing fantastic. Our new coach (Guy Luzon) is doing a good job and has lead us to the top of the table. We're 10 points ahead of Bruges (their manager is Michel Preud'homme who has been succesful for Standard and Gent). In a normal league we could already celebrate the title, but with those fucking Play Offs it could still be a hard job. We have almost the same team as last year, only some new players for the bench who are really good. For example Ronnie Stam, Mehdi Carcela and Igor De Camargo. Luzon has opted for the youth. Dino Arslanagic en Julien De Sart are regular starters this year. They're both young and very talented. No one in Belgium has a better pass than De Sart. Michy Batshuayi (who should be selected for the national team as third striker) has already scored 17 goals and is imo the most promissing name in Belgium together with Thorgan Hazard.

As I told you, Bruges is now second. But they are really inconsistent just like the rest in Belgium except Standard. They have a decent team though. Carlos Bacca has left them and they now have De Sutter (from Anderlecht) and Castillo (Chilean striker) to replace him. De Sutter is an average player so in the Play Offs they will need someone better. Castillo is only here 2 weeks so it's harsh to judge him. Their 2 best players should be Odjidja and Lestienne. But they are also inconsistent as fuck. Think they will get the 2nd place easily.

Then we have Anderlecht, the biggest club in Belgium. They are in really big trouble. They have an awful manager, John Van den Brom. Who brings in 5 other players every week. They have absolutely no 'team' but 11 individuals. They've bought Mitrovic in the summer for 5 million (highest transfer fee ever paid in Belgium) but he's not doing well. Except the match against Bruges (even in an offside position), he can only score against small teams. He was nowhere against Standard for example.

Zulte Waregem, who finished 2nd last year, is doing well. They have a whole new team compared with last year (Berrier, Malanda, Delaplace left and Leye is still injured) so it became a one-man-team, Thorgan Hazard. The dude has been awarded the Golden Shoe (Best player in the League) and he's the reason they will reach Play Off 1.

I'll finish with Genk. They are a self-called topteam. But they now achieved 9/36 and are only 6th. 22 points behind Standard. They bought Mboyo from Gent for 4.5 million, but he's injured all the time. Their fans are protesting against the board.

Actually I reckon in summer Defour wanted to go to Standard, but they refused and then were like :fffuuu: when he decides to join Anderlecht.

Ridiculous banner. But people make way too much fuss about it.

They got what they wanted. He got a red card

Defour had enough options. He wanted to go to Standard, but his fuckbuddy D'Onofrio (our former president) didn't want to negotiate with Standard and vice versa. Defour could've go to PSV, but he went to Anderlecht. Although he always disgusted them in interviews. He's the biggest prick in history of Belgian football.

Oh please, if Standard wanted Defour they would have gotten him. They didn't want to pay that much money for him.

Psv didn't play CL, Anderlecht did. That being said, I don't think Defour will play long for them anyway.

Also Proto is the biggest pricks of pricks

Defour does anything D'Onofrio asks him to. A few years ago, when the fans were mad at Don because he replaced Fellaini with Nicaise, Dante with Mulemo, Mbokani with Pieroni etc., and the fans protested, Defour immediately turned his back to the fans to protect D'Onofrio. D'Onofrio isn't doing any business with Duchatelet. The only thing he does is getting youth players of Standard away to Portugal. Just because he's frustrated he hadn't the money to buy Standard himself, which Duchatelet had.

And CL? Yeah, those 6 games Anderlecht plays every year are not that important. If he had so much passion for the club as he always told us (he even went to drink a beer with us in La Cosa, the fan home), he would've never signed for Anderlecht.

Proto is a prick, but at least he's a loyal prick.

I totally agree with you. Which frustrates me even more is that nobody talked about the behavior of the Anderlechtfans while this weekend the media are 'shocked' by the behavior of the fans of Club Bruges who did the same thing (throwing the seats on the field), I don't approve their behavior but still.

Defour is a football player. I don't like him but still. Jelle Van Damme was a true sportingboy as I remember his macho behavior towards Witsel after his tackle against Wasilewski. Couple of years later it was his teammate and now he's a true Standardplayer...

There are still a lot of Standard fans who don't like Van Damme (incl. me), because there were once rumours he racially abused Onyewu...

Van Damme even admit that just after the Wasilewski-game, he went to the D'Onofrio to force a transfer. Anderlecht didn't want to let him go and he stayed. But in that match he already wanted to join Standard. I don't like him, but you can't compare this situation with Defour, who was the symbol of Standard and always disgusted Anderlecht. While Van Damme was just an ordinary player.

Sporting Lokeren player Gregory Mertens (24 years old) has died today. Gregory had a heart attack on monday during the game between the reserves of Lokeren and Genk.

What do you guys think of Izquerido of Club Brugge? I seen some of his goal this season he seems pretty awesome. He was crazy fast in the Colombian league and most the goals I have seen on YouTube of him seems like he out runs people.

Just wondering what people who watch the league think of him. Adrian Ramos is out of Copa America because of injury and he is one of the guys rumored to replace him.

Sad he wasn't called to our Copa America team. Saw a few of his goal high light and man he looks fast!!! Hard to follow your league tho as the streams are hard to find. Saw the Europa league games and liked what I saw. There was another Colombian player that was being linked to Club Brugge. I will have to look up the kids name but he was U20.
