In Holland they state Bayern have indeed contacted the management from Geertruida as they see him as a good Pavard replacement.

The problem is: Geertruida isn’t at Pavard’s level yet. And Feyenoord wants close to 40 mln for him at this moment. At the start of the transfermarkt Feyenoord asked 25 mln. A couple of weeks ago they had a agreement with Leipzig for 30 mln. You see, Bayern have to pay more for a Pavard replacement (who is a less player), while they can wait a year and get him for 25 mln (Geertruida) probably. They get Stanicic back than too. There really is no need for Bayern to sell at this time…

Tuchel must understand that when a ayer wants to leave, better he'll leave.
Otherwise he will do a couple of months at sufficient level and then starting being injured until he leaves for free.

It seems it will either be Pavard or nothing. I think this is a market opportunity, which means great if it happens but oh well if it doesn’t.

I am not a fan of just filling a position for the sake of it, which is why I don’t believe you can fault the management if the deal doesn’t fall through.

I think we can hold on for half a season without another RCB and then we see how badly we really need Pavard or a similar player (I believe we do need him, but maybe Inzaghi won't at that time)

Also the money we can save now can be used to get a different player mid-season if really needed. We all know youngsters won't feature for us

If we can get Shuurs for some reasonable price, maybe it will be good to do it. Then if Parad is still keen on us next summer, to get him for free and Move Shuurs in the middle.

I’m sure Pavard will act like a professional if he needed to be. It isn’t in Pavards interest to refuse to play/play shit either, as there is a European Championship coming summer.

Yes they can lose him for free now and get Stanisic as his replacement (if he develops this season) and get Geertruida for something like 25 mln. They will have a superior player in Pavard this season. Or they can sell him for 30 mln to Inter, buy Geertruida for 40 mln and have a inferior player this season. The ‘difference’ is only 15 mln and you have a player who’s not as good as Pavard atm.

It’s not as black & white as I state it. But this is probably what they are thinking at Bayern.
