Marotta: 'Complete confidence' in Spalletti
By Football Italia staff
Beppe Marotta insists Inter have ‘complete confidence’ in Coach Luciano Spalletti, despite links with Antonio Conte.
Conte replied ‘no comment’ to a question about replacing Spalletti at Inter earlier on Thursday evening, but Marotta made it clear the Nerazzurri were sticking with Spalletti.
“Milan isn’t just a beautiful city, it’s a big city,” the CEO told Sky Sport Italia before the Beneamata’s Coppa Italia quarter-final against Lazio.
“It only seems right to me that a citizen like him can walk into the city centre. Spalletti’s doing well. The club have complete confidence in him.”
I would've believed Marotta if Conte hadn't said "no comment". If he was just walking in the city he would've simply said so. Him saying "no comment" only strengthens the rumors of him replacing Spalletti.
