Marotta know what he doing.

Conte can make a squad from the scratch.

Just throw two or three Conte players, and you will see how his formation works.

Sensi, Barella, and Agoume are solid signing. I like Agoume kid when he play, a bit quite like young Pogba.

The only thing i worry is how Marotta buy Lukaku and Dzeko. Can we get them ? Because time is running out.

Without strike ala Lukaku, Conte formation doesn't work .

We understand that Marotta knows what he is doing, but when the owners of the team aren't spending money and just wasting time, it's worrisome. I actually wonder if he will make it through the entire season with us. He can't be happy with how things are going and not having the freedom to run things how he would have at Juve.

It is unbelievable how you guys get so impacted by the negative media BS that inter receives and fail to see the reality.

We hired Conte ( i don't like him because i hate his 352) anyway i got to accept that the decision has been made. So lets see now what is the club doing to satisfy his requests.

1) He wants a motivated group of players , with no "I am" players but "We are" mentality. So first things first , Icardi out --> Is it not easy to actually sell a player like Icardi with 1 year left in his contract and without the desire to leave Italy. So only option left is to force him out and force him to take any non italy offer (in case Juve doesn't agree to our terms). You can't do that if you let him play with the team like nothing has happened. -->
2) He wants players who follow the rules and have strict professional behaviour . So Naingolan out --> Same logic as above. The only way to convince him to accept Chinese offers (the only we could receive for him) is by forcing him out.
3) He needs wingers for his 352. I believe they sat down and discussed about the options. So they needed to sign someone on the right (done) and would try to see perisic on the left (apparently failed) . So now we will see what the club will do in the mercato for the LM position . There are fucking 40 days left
4) He needed an upgrade in midfield . We signed Sensi (a bet that i have liked so far) and barella. Now i can't accept how people downplay this signing. We can like it or not , but he was the absolute top italian midfield prospect. I can only imagine if Roma had actually signed him the amount of drama queens bashing Marotta and Ausilio. But now that we actually signed him looks like it is nothing. So in this regard Goal is achieved. On the other hand they need to get rid of the deadwood in midfield goal which until now is failed. And you can lie if you want , but i am sure that deep down all of you are convinced that if we actually manage to sell Borja , J.Mario , one between Gaglia/Vecino and N9 a big name signing (think SMS) will come in midfield.
5)He needs a physical, target man type of forward who can collect a long ball and help the team move forward. We can actually see this in the 2 friendlies played so far , how direct the play seems to be but Longo is not able to do this kind of dirty work. So now think of the top 5 strikers which fit this description currently in play. I am sure Dzeko and Lukaku are both part of that top5 and they are ideal combo since one has Serie A experience and can agree to be benched more often while the other is in his prime and has international pedigree. If you accept the above then you should acknowledge the fact that the club has targeted 2 of the top 5 strikers (that obey our need) and both of them have agreed to come. Which is a sign of very well done job , the next part is to agree with the clubs and let negotiations take their time ffs.

So overall i think the club is doing good and working towards our coaches needs. Whether signing this coach and agreeing to completely remove any certainty we had built in the last 2 years was a good decision or not than its another discussion. For me signing Mou (If it was an option) or Sarri and continue to work on the 4231 would have been a better choice. But if you wanted Conte before them then you shouldn't be disappointed of our current situation.

ADRossi's post taken from the daily rumor's thread:

Icardi has agreed to terms on a five year contract with Juventus. Juventus plan on dragging out negotiations until the end of August to hinder Inter's mercato (courtesy of Delicate)

Folks keep praising Marotta how he has firmly put his foot down in order to show everyone that that a player has no control over the club. But his actions have ironically led to the opposite: Icardi chooses when he leaves Inter and where he goes, and if there is any truth to the above quote, Icardi's buyer can push us around just for the heck of it.

If the above quote is true, the argument of Icardi risking being benched for 2 years is invalid. Marotta has basically handed over all power to Icardi.

I don't agree with that. Icardi doesn't decide when he'll leave. Inter does. I'm fairly sure the Inter management realised prior to this summer, that Icardi would be difficult to offload. I think that already happened last summer, when nobody triggered his release-clause.

Icardi might've said, that he doesn't mind riding the bench for two years, but he does. With no gametime, the interest from Juventus will slowly (but surely) fade away. I actually believe Icardi's value has been written of the books already, and the club isn't budgeting future transfer-planes based on Icardis departure. Something that the (possible) purchase of Lukaku shows.

Well if we decide when he leaves, why hasn't he left yet? We could surely use the money from his sale for our targets, right? Conte even publicly lamented that we've failed to make crucial sales so far. That doesn't sound like we're in control of anything.
Also, last summer we had no intention of letting the captain and MVP go. And he had also no intention of leaving Inter. Plus, his release clause expired last summer, so your point that "nobody triggered his release clause" is moot.

He hasn't left because no satisfying bids have been made yet. We could indeed use the money for other transfers, but we do not wish to sell to Juventus - at least not for what Juventus wants to pay. The argument about his clause is by no mean moot. Might've expired last season, but it still wasn't triggered last season, during a period where his market value was much, much higher than now.

As I stated in my previous post, I don't think Inter is counting on getting any money out of Icardi. He has been written off, and will only be sold if an exceptionel offer is being made. Secondly, I don't think the actual value of Icardi is as high as people on this forum tend to believe, partly due to his off-field antics, his wife-gone-agent and the fact that top-clubs in europe expect far more from their striker, than Icardi has to offer.

In regards to the missing sales -> that's not a statement about Icardi only. We have several players in the squad, who a) don't fit into the new setup (traditional backs fx) and to some extent R9 + CiaoMario. B) are just not good enough and C) have flaws in their personality that colliedes with the expectations to our employees. The ones who publicly have been offered to other clubs, are weirdly enough, players that fall into the C-category, which all makes sense.

Anyway, Juventus might end up getting Icardi for 30-40m, and if that happens, then I'll gladly admit that I was wrong.

The rumour about Icardi has agreed with Juventus for 5 years contract has been around since May and it was said happened weeks before that. The rumour even said 8 millions per year.

That does not mean Inter (Marotta) will agree to sell on the cheap though.

This situation is just like when Barella accepted our offer and rejecting others. The question remains whether we're going to be Cagliari or give middle finger to Juve and keep Icardi on the bench for 2 years.

Didn't Sabatini want to sell Icardi before? Icardi sale is not just discussed this year. In the last 3 summer we have heard Icardi can be sold, yet he has not left. The release clause was only for clubs from abroad, meaning Italian clubs would have to offer more than that. This means whether clubs from abroad never came with an offer or Icardi has refused those offers, if any.

In the event that we decide not to sell because the offer is too low or Inter block a move to Juventus outright, the question I have is whether keeping him on the bench is actually a realistic option. Personally, I do not think that is an option for Conte as coach and Inter as a club.

The former is already disgruntled at the club's inability to sell Icardi, Naingollan and our other dead wood. Just on that point, I would like to say that it is pretty hard to sell a player if (1) there are no buyers; and (2) the players do not want to go the clubs that are making offers.

With regards to Inter as a club, I do not see how we can possibly keep Icardi here for two years and let him rot on the bench as some posters have been suggesting. Truth be told, I feel that doing so would be disastrous for Inter. Since February, so many words have been written, there has been endless speculation, and here we are five months later with no end in sight. How could Inter as a club possibly contemplate keeping him here for two years with all the rumours, speculation and shit that comes with him? Not to mention Wanda being on Tiki-Taka and Conte wanting him out. I will go as far as saying that keeping Icardi at Inter is not an option for the club because of the above circumstances and the only option we have is to sell him this summer.

Hai guyth (in a lithp accent).

As Inter fans, I know this is against every fibre in our being. We love to fall in love with our players.

Recoba was injured for years and we kept him on the payroll through sheer love.
Ranochhia has been renewed.
Adriano was best striker in the world and we made him play wide not to upset an ageing Vieri.
Cannavaro fucked us three ways from Sunday, and we gave into his demands.

Players have generally, been bigger than this club. We literally NEVER benefited from this, other than some spectacular Pazza Inter highlight reels.

The first time we didn't do this? 2010. We won the treble.

This is gonig to be hard. We are changing the entire way we do business. We are changing the way we love our club.

To do this, we needed people who:
- Don't love our colours
- Have done this successfully elsewhere

Trust the new direction.

We love the idea of Perisic, Icardi and 9G - but that's all it is. An idea for a multitude of reasons, did not work.

Let's look forward.

We complained for years when Mancini gave those interviews that said NOTHING. 'Winning helps you win'. 'We lacked something'. Our coach literally is telling us what he's doing and the direction he's taking is clear. Respect that, even if you don't agree with it.

We have a management who is making us marketable.

We have a club manager in Beppe who shows NO MAN is bigger than the colours. All can be replaced.

This is the Inter we want. This is the Inter we need, if we're to compete in CL and Serie A.

The transfer season is long, but the season is even longer. Let's reserve judgement.

In the meantime, understand the direction, and please reiterate to yourself that it won't happen overnight. But this is the start of a journey to take us into trophy winning, primavera grooming, talent attracting sustainability.

This journey is not for everyone, but we've had some pazza years, time to settle down and win some trophies, as a club - not a team of individuals.

Forza Inter Per Sempre.

People panic that Icardi value has dropped, but I will be glad if we can get any money of him. People complain about Marotta handling this situation badly, maybe so but players leave bosman ruling every summer and their clubs somehow manage to survive. Like this summer PSG lost Rabiot for free and Arsenal lost Ramsey for free and Juve can potentially lose Kean for free next summer? Someone could say its a very bad dealing with their managment, but some times player and clubs intrest dont mach and these thing occur It a bummer but life goes on... just like Bale situation at Real of course more extreme than Radja and Mauro, cause he has been absolute professional, but Club decided that he has to go and made it public. It maybe will lover future fee sure, but they will get rid of his massive salary and can go someone else that suit better managers plans!

The main thing is to get rid this dude and his/her bad influense to team or atleast keep him out of team that their focus is with whats important!

We need to stop caring about players loving the club. That is the new direction.

We need to stop caring whether players understand where they are playing. That is the new direction.

We need to stop caring whether players have offered a lot on the pitch for this club. That is the new direction.

Not for everyone indeed.

I feel like the post is missing quite a bit of context.

So first up, let’s state the obvious: Icardi is one of our very few superstars alongside Handanovic, Skriniar,Brozovic and very good players like Nainggolan (who will be gone probably) and De Vrij/Godin. He is our only reliable goalscorer of the last years in a team that struggles to score. If we lose him and don’t we replace him adequately (which we won’t, because we won’t have the funds) we will have a problem.

Rabiot is a good player but at PSG he is no more than a passenger. They are a team that can splash 400 mil on pure worldclass like Neymar and Mbappe while having a ton of expensive high level players in the rest of the squad. Who cares if he leaves? They will just buy another guy who is just as good or 10 for all I care.

Kean is still just a kid that scored a couple of goals, he has everything to prove. You think anybody will notice him being gone? They still have CR7 and will get Icardi for peanuts so no Rubentino on earth will give a flying fuck about Kean.

Real will survive without Bale. Injury prone as hell and probably doesn’t care about football anymore. He is set for life and his interest seem to be elsewhere. Don’t forget that, they have Hazard now and some other promising wingers. They have it all worked out unlike us.

My point is that those teams are filled to the brim with top players and they can afford them so if they lose one they will have the money to replace them properly.
We on the other hand don’t, who are we gonna buy with 40 mil? At this point we can’t even afford half of Lukaku, so who is gonna be come? Dzeko? Laughable...

And if Icardi stays and sits out his contract we won’t be able to buy shit while playing the guy 24 mil in 2 years and we will be known as the club who ruined a top players career, nice message.

Marotta fucked us big time.

Just want to reiterate that I would be happy if Icardi spends the next 2 years on the bench or vacationing in Ibiza while earning his full salary. More than his value, what should matter to the club is respect. And we need to make a statement that we will let you rot even if it comes at a financial cost, but the club will not bend over for someone who has disrespected the club.

I will give Marotta full marks if this happens.

Marotta fucked us big time.

Yeah the contex was that other teams lose core players without any money for free and maybe we can get some money at Icardi... but whaat ever...

I get your point that we are small club without money. But still people want hype players like SMS for 100m and now are disappointed player like Barella? So maybe our expectations should be more like BVB level? Witch seems to me be the case Sensi, Barella, Lazaro... maybe one big name like Lukaku?

It is allowed to buy good players under 40m and build a competitive team like Dortmund has done for years now... Hummels 4.2m, Lewandowski 4,75m, Kagawa 350th, Pizschek free, Gundogan 5,5m, Perisic 5,5m, Reus 17,10m, Aybameyang 13m...

The difference is that we are bigger club than BVB and can keep many of the players if they break and if/when we get more revenue/stadium we can go for bigger fish!

I just dont see the point of hating and blaming Marotta of everythin? What good that will that bring? Seriously Im not joking...

I think we need a good cleaning at the club and try to get those players that suits best to our coach plans and tactics. Marotta has had difficult job when he arrived... all that Radja, Perisic and Icardi shit in hand and coach who didnt make it any easier, so maybe he did thaugh fuck it everybody need to go and we continue when the shit is cleaned!

I'm fine with cleaning house but are there any new names we are actually being linked to?

We need like 5 new players at the very minimum.

Well. He hasn't done anything in the way of cleaning except perhaps telling Nainngolan that he isn't needed but this was bound to happen anyway. My hope for next season is just to get rid of Marotta and Ausilio.
