Was this match as easy as the scores suggests?

I would know, I was watching Milan - Juventus...
But it is kinda fun watching a match if you hate both teams and can be happy no matter who has lost - and for me the important thing is that AC Merda lost, nevermind those other bastards won :p

I have watched the highlights on inter.it and we did perform as well as the scoreline suggests. Oba was great, Adriano did some good stuff, although shot when Oba was begging for a pass on several occasions. Karagounis seemed to put in a really good display and Veron was lively as well. There also seemed to be a spell where Brescia had about 5 attempts in a row. We still look vulnerable from set pieces and Matrix defended awfully at times.

Still I am delighted by this second half of the season and next year we could be the dominant force of the Italian trio :) :proud: .

I did get to watch the second half, thus all the 3 goals ... GREAT UNSELFISH ASSIST BY MARTINS !! :proud:

And it was an interesting move of Mancini to play Kily in LB position for the whole second half ... Favalli got injured ??

Why do you want to rest players? For the Coppa Italia? Isn't that a bit excessive?

Even if we play our best 11 it's gonna be very hard to take the 3 points in Brescia. If we rest people, it'll be impossible.

We can easily beat Brescia!

good result .. interesting match. Kara seems to be doing well.
Any chance anyone can upload it ??

lots of questions .. so here goes

How did Kily fit in as a LB ?? did he operate as a proper LB, covering and all ??

Was the formation a flat 442 or diamond ?? especially in the second half with Stan on, from the highlights it seems too narrow to be a flat 442 ??

how was Stankovic ?? and Veron ??? he played in the center right ?

PS: A report on Adriano's performance will be absolutely grand. :)

Adriano had alot of the ball, had some great chances and if I recall correctly he pulled a couple of beautiful moves as well :proud:

You have to admire Oba's unselfishness, he could've easily had a hatrick if he wanted to but gives the ball to Bobo and he nets it.

**Note that Bobo was playing with a stomach ache which is why he didnt start

:inter: FORZA INTER FORZA OBA FORZA BOBO FORZA IMPERATORE :inter:

Kily and Veron played brilliant as well! :D

Darn, would love Adriano to finally start scoring again. :D

But to see Martins scoring and assisting like that...:proud: It more than made up for it. I didn't see the match but his finishing in his first goal looked to be very clinical on his kinda unpreferred right foot. His assist to Vieri just made me fall in love with him more. 1 on 1 with Castelazzi, on a hattrick but he saw his teammate, his friend, his partner in crime in a better position and he squared it.

It's incredible the way we have performed in 2005. Mancini has answered all critics on the pitch and I personally am happy that it looks like he's staying. Not that he's my favourite coach but continuity is needed. If I'm not wrong, we have gained more points in Serie A than anybody ever since the comeback against Juve back at November in San Siro. If we carry this form on to the next season, we would definitely be a serious contender for the Scudetto.

All the remaining matches are easy on paper, bar Sampdoria. But we have to win in Luigi Ferraris to confirm that Inter has truly grown this year from an immature team who just can't stop conceding goals to one who is finally able to enjoy runs of consecutive victories. But first, we have a clash against Cagliari for a place in the Coppa Italia final and this win will surely boost our morale!

PS: A report on Adriano's performance will be absolutely grand. :)

I agree, very nice effort by Martins today. Especially admirable was the unselfish pass to Vieri for his goal.

Vieri seems to be scoring at least 1 a game when he palys consistently, coudl this mean a reduction in wages and stay in Inter next year?

By the way, I hope you don't mind, I borrowed your avatar. Let me know if its not okay with ya, thnx.

Great game by us, we again dominated another team. But Bresica deserve to be in Serie B, they didn't want to attack until the last 20 minutes or so. Lesser teams in Serie A has to abandon this nasty habbit :yuck:

Martins played great, and he was sang-froid when scoring both goals. Unlike last week, he was calm and composed. Really unselfish of him to pass to Vieri instead of going for the hattrick.

Kily has a massiv game today, was excellent as a LW, but even better as a LB. I think him and Kara are reserving their place for next season, both are more versatile than Davids and Emre who must both go now.

Stan came and played well for a while, but then totally disappeared from the game. I honestly don't know what's wrong with him, for a while it seemed that Kily was both at LB and LW.

The Veron report says another good game. I still want him to cut down his giveaways, there weren't many, but at least on one occassion he gave it to Brescia in a sensitive situation, but they weren't interested in attacking. Other than that, great game by him again.

Obagol is back!!!! :proud: He's had better goals in his career but at least he put them in the net this time around. Also really unselfish of him to pass to Vieri in the dying moments when he very easily could of had the hat-trick, or at least got a shot on goal. Great to see because I'm a huge Martins fan and was wondering when he'd break out of his slump.

Kily at LB was somewhat humorous until the end of the game when Brescia finally started to pour forward. Not exactly a situtation I wish to see again, especially if we face a good team. :scared:

Karagounis was superb today, providing lots of energy and some crisp passing. Slowed down a little in the 2nd half but overall a good performance from another one of my faves. :)

Come to think of it.... everyone played well today. A great team performance against a team that is Serie A material in name only.

BTW Hamed was it just me or what that commentator brutal? He kept confusing Adriano and Martins and even called us Milan a few times! :yuck: I've never been more insulted in my life!

:D Brad, I wanted to comment on that but thought I might be exaggerating or something. But he was horrible! He kept on pronouncing Martins as Mar-tanz, and was pronouncing our name at the beginning as inter-nashio-nale :dielaugh: :dielaugh: :dielaugh: And yes, he was confusing between players.

I don't know if viewers in Europe get the same thing. I think TLN gets the telecast from Sky Sports. Anyway, british commentators are horrendous. If you watch some La Liga or EPL games, they pronunce latin players wrong.

I don't speak spanish, but I know that it's pronounced Juan Pablo An-Hel not An-jel, Javier Por-teo not Por-tello!!! I suggest them to give commentators a course in how to prounce names, be professional for the love of God :frustrat:

I am really surprised, thatt's a nice total for playing few games over two seasons, and still no respect.

Great for me is different than great for you. There was more flash in the Siena game, but that's something I don't care about. He had less astray long passes, and less freebies this time around. His defence was also a little bit better, but there is room for improvement.

The fans on inter.it gave him 8.4 for this one, while it was 8.2 for the Siena game.

Brescia are hard to break down anywhere, let alone at home. I think that game completely proved to me, that we don't have to play 2 defensive midfielders next season just to help out of defence, Cambiasso can easily do the job by himself with the back four (who we're gonna re-shape a bit anyway)

Cambiasso didn't have too many passing players, but what a monster, Stankavechius and Schopp were b1tch slapped off the park. Great to see Adriano running at players again, almost better than porn. Martins...o OBA!! if only you had taken a shot and scored a hat-trick, either way...what a legend. Karagounis was blisterring, he really took his his oppurtunity well...I seriously believe we should give him a go again against Sampdoria in Genoa...and really see what he's made of. Stankovic is also getting back into form...god its annoying to see Juve beat Milan...because we could have so easily won this season...COULD"VE.

catanha, brescia didnt even threaten us really.

a team like Sampa or Udinese away are teams who you would want Cristiano to be in.

anyway, i jsut watched it again, Adriano was bloody superb! he didnt score but his play has matured, when he gets t he ball now, his looking for a pass, he was the one moving us around in that game, not our midfield.

in fact it was him who held theball up and gave veron a great pass, then veron over hit the pass to martins but luckily martins finished well.

the Emperor!
