Coco in his best form is extremely good defensively, and beats Favalli there. Then as you said, he's quicker, but also a better dribbler. Favalli relies in the offensive game on overlapses and the ability to work with the left winger. Coco can make rushes and dribble all the way up himself. The problem with Coco has always been his ridiculous crosses, which sadly is a big obsticle and has made me think twice wether we should keep him or not. Now, I don't need to think, since Mancini has made it clear that Coco's future lies somewhere else.

Thanks for that Jimmy.

About Mancini not playing him, do you remember at the start of the season, when Coco wasn't included in the CL list? Mancini said that Coco needed time to get back to 100% from injury, and the he was going to play an important part. We all know what happened then.

Do you really think that it's only Mancini behind this? No other factors? I personally think that Branca (or someone else from the club) has played a part in the handling of Coco and Davids.

Just a little note on Coco. That game against Valencia when he played, was one of the best that season by a left-back. Even the ESPN commentators said he had the most lively game by a LB that year.

But the one who made that cross was Emre, it was then headed by Crespo to Vieri.

But it's true, Coco is like JZ, they can't cross whatsoever. Should't we give them a special session on that? Anyway, let's loan him out for next year, and see what happens after. He'll be 29 by that time, and if he is great we can make him our second LB behind whoever we will get next year.

I understand what you're saying Jimmy, that was one of the reasons he wasn't successful @ the Camp Nou, but I agree with what Hamed said.
Some players you just get attached to, like people who love Ventola for his form when our strikers were injured a few years ago, likewise I'm attached to Coco because of his absolutely prime-Maldini like performance against Valencia, I was amazed of what Coco did that day!! he was just getting into form, like real form, not just 1 good cross etc etc...he was all over the place (in a great way) and was sh1tting on Valencia....what happens? he gets injured and hasn't recovered since!
Not to mention his performances for Italy in the 2002 WC!! He and C.Zanetti were incredible!! those were the days!!
