the lengths people go to justify this bullshit.. Juve winning like this en route to the Scudetto is irrelevant, hell we'd have games like these under Mourinho but that again is irrelevant. we're not en route to anything great right now, that makes this a bump in the road.. plus if you're going to look at history and take things from it why this? why not their consistency or dominance?

Yesterday was supposed to be a bounce back game if ever there was one, and what makes it even worse, was the fact that the ref handed the opportunity for us to make a statement, and we were absolutely pathetic. We were a man up for over like an hour and had the commentators not repeated it every 5 minutes, I would have never been able to tell that we were playing with a man advantage against a relegation contender.

loser mentality, with little to no standards are the only thing that could cause anyone to look at our match yesterday and say we were okay..

I've seen better Inter performances. Unfortunately, I've also seen much worse. So yeah. 3 points is good but in the end, Mazzarri didn't exactly silence his critics with this narrow victory over a pretty weak team.

I'm not one to use usually agree with Nyall, but here it goes.

When Mourinho's Inter, or Juve won these games en route to winning the Scudetto, it was a blip in form. A change from winning convincingly to winning unconvincingly.

The way we're doing it, it's also a blip in form, but the change is from drawing/losing to winning unconvincingly.

Big difference.

3 points is 3 points. Especially with the way Inter are playing right now. I only caught highlights as I was away on holiday but the points are in the bag and to me that's the main thing. Onto Sampdoria.

That used to be my way of thinking. Until I realize that unless you got the 3 points based on solid foundation, it'll just be temporary and we will be building on top of a shaky foundation. We won't be able to sustain a winning streak and will end up having yet another mediocre season.

Honestly after a year and a half and we don't have a style of play without finding any balance in the side is just depressing since it basically mean we threw away another "transition" year.
