Wow, the competition in the qualifiers is simply incredible. So many teams dissapointed from being title contenders at the beggining of the season and then ending up just fighting for a CL spot. Atleast that reminds us that we're not the only team that played like crap.

Polish Wisla Krakow are the first team to qualify to the 3rd round. The 8-2 in Georgia just doesn't need comment. I wonder what the score will be in their home match. I just hope Wisla will not face Inter in the quals, but in the group phase. Then I'd be able to watch the game live, no matter I'd have to travel 600 km.

So we'll get one of the winners from the 2nd round ?

Some of those teams are quite dangerous. Like Sparta Prague and Red Star Belgrade. We shouldn't take any side lightly.

Yup. I don't think we can be drawn against any of the team who qualified right to the 3rd stage. I haven't update the thing for awhile now. Will do so tonight. Apologies for the delay. ;)

Starting with, I would like to confirm what Handoyo had told us. We won't be facing teams who have already qualified. For official article on this (sorry, I forgot the source, but believe me :D ):

Clubs which qualified directly for the 3rd Round will only play against the clubs who have come through from the second qualifying round

Meanwhile, UEFA yesterday confirmed that the draw for the third qualifying round of the Champions League to decide on the final 16 clubs to take part in the tournament will see seeded sides drawn against unseeded teams.

As a result, United and Liverpool will not face the likes of Real Madrid or Juventus but one of the smaller clubs who have come through from the second qualifying round.

------------------------------------
EDIT:

MILAN - The draw for the Champions League third qualifying round will take place tomorrow at 12:00CEST at the Uefa headquarters in Nyon. The eighteen teams who gain direct access to the final qualifying round will be joined by the fourteen winners of the second qualifying round matches (2nd leg matches on Wednesday 4 August).

The sixteen winners of the third qualifying round matches (1st legs on 10-11 August, 2nd legs on 24-25 August) will go through to the group stage of Europe's most prestigious club competition.

Third qualifying round draw (seeded teams cannot be drawn against each other):

Seeded teams:
FC Internazionale
Real Madrid
Manchester United
Liverpool
Deportivo la Coruna
Juventus
PSV Eindhoven
Bayer Leverkusen
Monaco
Anderlecht
Glasgow Rangers

Yeah, no underestimating, I trust in our team and our coach completely so with them so strong we will get through.

In the first leg, couple of away goals should do it. In Meazza Adriano cuts them to pieces.
