I think something simple like:

Inter v Treviso

is not good enough. When you browse the Games and Tactics forum and you want to look at old games, it's nice to know when they were played. Sure, you can look at the dates of the posts, but some indication of when the game was played (either the date or Serie A/Day 1) would be nice.

That's exactly the beef that I had with the current system. If in the new future we want to check back our previous Derby d'Italia victories in Delle Alpi, we will encounter a few Juventus - Inter and thus we have to go in the topic to know whether it is the 03/04 1-3 victory or 04/05 0-1 victory. Sure, the last post's date will help but it may be confusing if the older topic got revived by someone, and thus having a later last post's date compared to the new one.

Get what I'm saying? Pardon my English.

We have to write a whole essay now just to make a new match topic, surely we are logical enough to see that Week 1 where a post is in 2005 will be the beginning of 05-06 and Week 1 where the post is in 2006 will be in the beginning of 06-07!

No. This is because we do not want to delete any post in this forum except those offensive posts.

I am not going to change the format since there's still kind of a stalemate here since the poll wasn't really won by a clear victory and thus that is not enough of a reason to change a tradition that has been with the forum since it exists.

Let's wait for a few more weeks before a decision is reached.
