Lukaku sure wanted to play for Conte, but he also accepted to play for Sarri at Juventus ten days before we signed him.

Hakimi on the other hand was told by Zidane that he would not be part of the team and they were looking for a new club. Conte did talk with Hakimi and may have been a catalyst in the move, but it is not clear yet if there was any serious competition for his signature. Either way, it's not like Hakimi wanted to play for Conte at all costs. He just liked what the coach told him about his role and where the team was headed. There aren't that many better or similar standing clubs Hakimi could have gone to, so the coach probably wasn't as key as the monetary part, the CL part and the Scudetto challenge part.

Hakimi was not a Conte request though, whereas Lukaku was. So there's no reason to think that Conte could not have treated Eriksen a similar way, the issue was that Conte dislikes players that are ball dominant at midfield and he wanted someone else instead. Now that he has that someone else, he treats Eriksen even more like shit...

It was probably a case of Conte not saying "No" when we already had Sensi on the injury table for months, but not someone he really wanted either.

Eriksen has to find a coach/club that really believes in his abilities. He hasn't been in good form for a long while and he's not going to get there with a coach who doesn't rate him. I actually think he would have flourished under Spalletti, but these are different times and circumstances.

If we can hold Juve scoreless with Gags for the first 45 mins, then go for the goals with Sensi etc. Then yes we can win Scudetto with this game. If we perfect it (which is of course doubtful against teams like Roma, Napoli, better Atalanta, better Sassuolo, Juventus of course).

But that's all irrelevant for now, as we weren't playing against Juventus. Or anyone else than Spezia. Actually I don't really understand where did you get Juve to this conversation all of a sudden. This conversation was about Eriksen (the topic) and then Gagliardini playing instead of Eriksen.

It's clear Conte cannot use Eriksen, doesn't know how to set up the team with that kind of player. So we should just stop moaning how he doesn't use him. That's old news. Coach that doesn't know how to set up the team with worldwide proven player like Eriksen and instead of that he sets up the team with mediocre,even worse(in his best form) player like 5Gag is seria c level coach(His first scudetto with Jube was a joke,everyone knows it,after that they had too strong team and no real competition.Thats his succes in Italy. In CL he is always utter shit. Only big result was with Chelsea that first year but that season every other big team in PL underperformed big time..) And that's why we are joke in CL,and that's why we wont win scudetto. Unless something drastically happens(which I doubt) and our coach starts to play best players he has in roster and sets up the team with that kind of players. With best players,not chumps. If he continues with 5Gag,we have no fkn chance. Wait wait wait so your saying your okay with our coach going with a overly defensive lineup and gags whos utterly useless in possession cause we can make the more offensive changes in the second half and win it?
