He will never fit in Conte's system, that's illusion.

If he's really that good like people saying then we have to put Borzovic and Barella behind him and give him freedom to create.

He fits perfectly fine if he has enough time to get a pulse for the fucking game.

I get what people were saying about him being a bit soft in the defensive phase, but I would still start this guy. That pass to Lukaku in the last minute of the game is what's missing from this team. Eriksen already knew where Lukaku was and was able to make that touch in a split second and put him in a great chance to score - none of our other midfielders have that ability. He also had a good shot as soon as he came on, where the disallowed goal came from.

We can't have 3 players focused on attacking when we don't have a pure dm. He's trying to work eriksen into being able to defend and help the team more. It's understandable

Do we need a pure DM with 3 CBS...

calm down guys, installing a playmaker like eriksen takes more time than just a wingback.. he needs to understand the whole team movements and habit. As conte said, he demands certain things from midfielders and it takes time

Nope. It's the exact opposite. A wing back is a more demanding role tactically.

Conte should change his system to accommodate Eriksen IMO. Eriksen is such a good player if he's utilized correctly that it doesn't make sense to "throw away" those strengths only because a system is set in stone. System needs to change if the best players available don't fit to the system well.

Surely you guys can see why he's being introduced slowly. He pulls out of challenges, he often doesn't sprint, he's confused about what his role is supposed to be. Despite all of that, his absolute quality comes through even in the 15 minutes he gets which is wonderful.

Listen, I can't wait for him to be the first name on the team sheet. But it takes time, even if you're Christian Eriksen.

The problem is that Conte would have used Alfred Duncan over Christian Eriksen if he had him.
Just like he'd play Eder over Alexis Sanchez.

There's not much Eriksen can do to become a starter here. This is who he is and Conte does not appreciate that.

Same manager who accommodated Eden Hazard and Fabregas into his Chelsea side. Ight.

Then Conte should not have picked Eriksen as the next player to join the club.... He is an offensive specialist not a defensive one!

And I do agree, put Brozovic and Barella behind him, and let him have the freedom to create, and he will deliver!

I seriously think that you might conceed 1-2 goals per 10 game, by playing Eriksen instead of an defensive minded player. However I also seriously think you have doubled the chances for goalscoring in those 10 games.
For me that choice is a "no-brainer", and would bring more points to the club, and as a side-note, it is also funnier to watch :)...

4-4-2 is the best for Eriksen, we will see that 4-4-2 more often when we are losing and need a goal.

just imagine the classic 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 and sub Eriksen for Skriniar or Godin/Bastoni.

He didn't accommodate them. They already were there.

And Fabregas was mostly a rotation player, played more as a sub than a starter in Conte's first season. And the reason he played more in the second was because he wanted to bring Drinkwater and Bakayoko who were garbage while he lost Matic so he had to play him more...

Look it up.
PL starts: 13
As a sub: 16
Not used: 5
Not called up or injured: 4

So cannot really say that he accommodated Fabregas, but he was using him, sure.

Hazard on the other hand was a given. If he had benched him he'd lose his job within 5 minutes.

Danish commentators are suggesting that we wont see Eriksen fully integrated in the system till after summer.
Personally I don't know how long it takes, but patience may be required.

If Eriksen does not start midweek in the Europa League then there is something seriously wrong.

Conte on Eriksen:

“I believe in every situation, you must find balance between defensive and attacking moves. We cannot think one player can change the fate of a squad, especially as we got this far without Eriksen.

“We need to stay calm, allow the new players to settle in properly, keep working and not think this or that player can transform everything.”

His most impressive statistics against Manchester City were not his passing ones, however, but those illustrating the way he helped to start Tottenham attacks. Eriksen made a huge 16 ball recoveries during the game – to put that into context, during the game between Manchester United and Stoke City on the same afternoon, no player made more than seven.

Many of those were in central areas, perhaps showing the true value of utilising him in the heart of the action. Eriksen also made four interceptions, the most of any Spurs player. All of them occurred in the middle of the pitch.

He's a dainty player, not eagerly lunging into tackles, but he is hard-working and industrious.
