What do the other pro-Vieri members think?
Just like Frisko said, i think it´s getting ridiculous if all these stories are true. If he want´s to quit, then quit! Dont change your mind in every two days. Sad last season(s)/ending for his career...indeed.

I wonder why did he reject Sampdoria...

As much as I love him, and as much as he has done for us, there is little in denying that Vieri is a money hungry bas*tard.
I think the amount that he had agreed with Sampdoria was 600,000. And since Vieri is used to getting 5-6mill a season, he just couldnt accept it.

Nope, it had nothing to do with money. Vieri got very upset when Italy won the world cup which hie missed through injury, and then got injured again.

He flipped, there were reports that he had a nervous breakdown. So he failed to turn up for training with Samp (he had signed a contract with them in July, so there were no money problems with them) and hinted that he was thinking of retiring.

He left Samp waiting without even knowing if they should buy another striker. When he decided to go back, Samp knew better and told him to get lost.

Then he was linked to a move to Saudi Arabia, then JuBe. Now it's Atalanta. If he doesn't sign for anyone by 30 August he won't be able to play until 2007.

In the middle of all this 'crisis', Vieri still managed to negotiate a TV deal to appear in some reality show, which in the end he turned down since he wasn't getting paid as much as he wanted. He also managed to get himself in the papers while hanging around with his mates and girlfriend, first in Milan, then in Sardegna.

He is now asking Atalanta to sign him, guess why... cause if they do, he won't have to move house, he can still live in Milan... these are this man's priorities.

By the way, if you don't believe any of this, I'll be more than happy to look for the original sources, but it's all true.

Frisko Vieri will be able to play since he is a free agent and you can sign a free agent outside the transfer window. Thats an exception to the rule. Players without clubs can be signed at any time.:)

My big question is why did he go?

If he wanted to set his sights for World Cup '06, he was in good shape with us. In 04-05 he played 26 games scoring 13 goals, pretty damn good at a goal every other match. (footballdatabase.com)

After the World Cup (regardless if Italy had won or not) he could announce his international and club retirement and seriously be treated to a hero's farewell at the Meazza. I'm sure he would recieve a plaque for his 100 goals and he would be asked to make a short speech to the fans.

If playing football were the only thing on his mind, I'm sure he would still be at Inter and we would still be fighting over if he is a Mancio Boytoy or not.

If age denied him first team football, he could retire completely at 36, or free transfer to a smaller club a la Baggio.

However, if collecting paychecks from three different clubs in less than a year is his idea of a good time, then he has more problems than just being out of work.

Now he seems destined to end up in black and blue again. This time he'll join Atalanta for the second time. I wish all the best for my big idol. Forza Bobogol!

He just can't play with a non-Nerazzurra jersey. :proud:

 That was a wishful thinking...

Seriously, Vieri has been a big fat joke for the past year or so. I hope this latest debacle with Sampdoria would be the last of it.

As for the reason why he joined Atalanta, I'm pretty sure that Atalanta's location is not very far away from Milan, right? Since one of the dominant reason why he chose Milan, as much as he'd disrespect us, was because he didn't want to move out from the city of Milan, I believe the very same fact could be the reason why he rescinded his Sampdoria contract to sign for Atalanta.

Now seven years have passed since Bobo played his first match for Inter against Verona in Serie A when he scored all three goals in the 3-0 victory :)

That season he went on to score another 15 goals in 24 matches, but his arguably best season was in 02/03 when he scored in the league while Crespo scored in CL. 24 goals in 23 matches in Serie A and a total of 27 goals in 37 matches that season. I say this because I was too young to experience his 25-goals-in-28-matches season of 01/02.

Bobone, sempre con noi.

I think the Vieri have palyed 2 matches, and he wasnt good enough, but he is still one of the best St. in the world and he still can score a least 30 goals this seasson,so Vieri and Adriano should be our firs choise.I am sure that he will paly better in next games.FORZA INTER

Yes, Vieri has been the best forward in the world. Meanwhile he is my best favourite player. But you know that he is the kind of powerful forward. Because of his age, his power has been lessen. So we cannot except his show as his youngth.

lets wish him luck in his new advanture, and I can't rule out that he will walk out of Atalanta and leave football altogether.

Let's wait and see.

Aww, look at him having dinner with Fester and Maldini, you can tell he has always Inter in his heart :dielaugh:

By the way, he's gonna earn the minimum wage at Atalanta, 1,500 euros per month, but he'll get 100,000 euros for each goal he'll score. Only a mercenary walking dollar bill like him could cut a deal like that.

Phuckkkk you boboputaaaa!
