I hope the luck (with formation + subs) keeps going on against some big teams.

Nothing wrong with half time subs. Keeps the players eager to impress. One of the problems we have is players getting too comfortable in being selected.

I don't think it's wrong when he subs out Milito and Motta etc if they're to comfortable in being selected, but subbing youngsters who played a decent 45 minutes is really irritating and kills the kid's confidence (not related to the last nights match, I'm talking generaly)

From todays GDS (from Michael's post):

"Ranieri has a two-year deal in his pocket but he will have a chance to decide whether or not to do an encore for next season. In case of goodbyes in June, Inter would not want to have another Leonardo case and it is normal things that a big club plans for its future. And that plan could be Spalletti. More likely now than in the past."

But this question should be decided NOW. Because the January mercato. Because i can hardly suppose that Ranieri and Spalletti would ask/bring the same players... 2 very different characteristic coach.

Would be very Inter-esque when we would sign some "Ranieri-man" in winter mercato but meanwhile we would be happy 'casue we have another coach in the pocket.... and then came the summer-switch and we have again a not-good squad for the coach. Again a season minus....

Lets judge Ranieri at the end of the season. 3rd place + to the quarters with good performances will be enough for me to warrant him another season here.

Fucking Press, they always have to shake up things when it comes to Inter.
We need stability, Ranieri provides it and he is almost like a father figure to the players.

spaletti would be the best thing that can happen to inter in the post-mourinho era.

Having Spaletti for after-Ranieri is just fine IMO when we're on the subject, despite that rumour being completely ungrounded :)

Its a stupid rumour. First of all, there is no way Ranieri would decide to move on. Inter is surely his last big club and chance at winning something. I would like Spalletti, but he is an option only IF Inter wants to sack Ranieri and not the other way around.

How can you be so sure? I mean who's to say he'll never get a big job again?

Inter is his biggest job in his entire career.

Uhm, did he really say this or was it just mistranslated?

inter.it said:
Finally to those who tell Ranieri they're sure he will play a part in the history books at Inter, the Nerazzurri coach had this to say: "I certainly hope so. I know I'm the coach of a prestigious club. You all know that I wasn't an Inter fan; I always supported Roma as a child. However one thing I can tell you in all honesty is that I don't remember the names of the whole team who played against Lecce last night, but there is one team I know by heart: Sarti, Burgnich, Facchetti, Bedin, Guarnieri, Picchi, Jair, Mazzola, Peirò, Suarez, Corso and, in addition to them, I'm here today thanks to Helenio Herrera. He spotted me in trials for Roma, so he's the man I have to thank for being here today. Has Inter always been my destiny? At this stage, maybe the answer is yes..."

Does he seriously not know which players he sent on the pitch? Which he substituted? This interview was held only one day after the game...

The bold part is clearly in context with what he says afterwards which is the more remarkable part! Emphasizes his humbleness and appreciation for coaching a club like this.
