Inter will face Parma in this season's Coppa Italia Cup. We will play against Parma in the same old leg leg matches. I had read that the rules were supposed to change this season's Coppa Cup matches to the English Cup version - just one leg. But seems I didn't understand then OR were they planning the new system in the near future ??

Empoli would had been better though, whom Parma got past to face us. But may be it's better to face good opponents in the Coppa Cup as well. :D

As for the team news, we won't be facing Gilardino; BUT he would be replaced with Corradi--Delvecchio duo. And not to mention, no more Frey. :D

# We could change the topic of this thread to Inter-Parma OR Parma-Inter later on.

Serie, Champions League, Coppa Italia --- It's a long long season and we have a good squad for all the three competitions.

:star:

Hmm Parma will make us more focus in to the game...
It will be hard game coz they will be much stronger than last season, I am sorry for them for meeting us so soon... They should be able to match Viola or Palermo but not with us

Are you sure that it's fixed that we are facing Parma? I haven't read anything about that yet. I personally am not too happy if we have to face them. In the past 6 meetings with them, our records are
Code:
P W D L F A Pts
6 2 3 1 8 7 9
, certainly doesn't look very good.

I don't see anything wrong with reviewing Inter's record with another team. ;) I mean, before 04/05, our record against Chievo wasn't very good and true enough, we failed to beat them last season.

It's just that I prefer to face another team that Parma, who even though has lost its talisman in Gilardino, is always kind of a jinx team to us.

Of course there is no problem, but these are two very different teams now and even if we do fail to beat them - I would no longer see it as a jinx.

Not really. ;) Parma's & Chievo's team has changed a lot over the past 4 years yet they still remain as our jinx team. Need I also mention Lazio, who has fallen from grace, yet we failed to beat them in Serie A since God knows when!

Jinx team will always remain as a jinx regardless of who's in their squad. The jinx can only be broken if we manage to get a few consecutive victories over them. That's my 2 cents. :D

Well, considering that Parma's recent record against Inter is worse that ours against theirs, it will seem likely that the Parma fans see Inter as something of a jinx club as well. They'll be just as eager to beat us to get rid of that 'jinx' as we are.

Ciao,
Tim

With all due respect, what I consider as a jinx team is when a club of smaller size has repeatedly upsetted a bigger club. Parma is arguably smaller than Inter and Inter has failed to get consistent good results against them. That is why I consider Parma to be a jinx team. Milan, on the other hand, I don't consider as a jinx team for us because Milan is a club with the same stature as ours. :)

Well then I guess when it comes to Inter, bad luck is biased towards Parma, Lazio & Chievo. :p
