his body language is shocking for a person his age. some players just dont have the mental strength for these daunting tasks on a day to day occurance and as every game goes by, it looks like santons fitting that category. sad really.....

DAVIDE SANTON WILL BE ITALY UNDER-21 CAPTAIN - COACH CIRO FERRARA

Davide Santon will be Italy under-21 captain, coach Ciro Ferrara has said.

The left-back who is on loan at Cesena from Inter has impressed the former Juventus coach following a stellar campaign last year.

And he feels Santon can rediscover his full potential following this season's less than perfect run in Milan.

"I spoke with Santon this morning and I think he has a chance to relaunch himself and return to being a protagonist," Ferrara told the press.

"Perhaps the senior Italy call ups, and last year's run with Inter caught him by surprise, but now it's down to him to rediscover himself.

"I can also say that he will be our captain."

Tomorrow's England friendly in Empoli will serve for some ground-breaking.

"Our objective is to get the players to have experience and so this is why we organised a friendly with a team that has a higher average age than us," said the coach.
