In a interview on the Dutch television Dumfries stated he would like to renew his contract but everything is in hold for now given our financial state (I think due Zhang and his loan?).

He also said he’s having trouble with a hamstring injury since the match against Atalanta in November. He played a couple of matches with pain after, but damaged the hamstring more. He’s still having trouble with it, that’s the reason he still can’t start games.
