The reason I am opening this, is because of his comments after the game. He apparently said "Inter are a great club, so if they should make an offer, I'll analyze it and we'll see what happens.".

Now, he is probably our last hope of signing someone before Tuesday. So, what do you guys think? I'd take him over Kuyt 366 days a year (yes, I added a day...that's how much better he is than Kuyt)

Forlan's future is uncertain

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has hinted that he may still decide to leave the Vicente Calderon before the close of the summer transfer window.

Speaking after the Rojiblancos' 2-0 win against Italian and European champions Inter in the UEFA Super Cup on Friday evening, the Uruguayan striker revealed that he has yet to receive any offers but admitted that should the Nerazzurri come calling for his services, he would find it hard to turn them down.

"I know that there are many rumours about me and the transfer market," Forlan told Sky Italia. "I know that the media said that even Inter are interested, but so far I have not received any offers.

"Inter are a great club, so if they should make an offer, I'll analyse it and we'll see what happens."

The two-time Pichichi winner had earlier insisted that he wanted to stay with the Europa League winners beyond this summer.

forlan is great player no doubt, the problem is his age... And if he comes for less than 15 mils ok, but he wont come for less than 25, and giving that much money for 31 years old player is TOO much..

i still want kun though (i know it is not happening before you start to say we dont splash that money, blah, blah )

No chance for getting Aguero because he has no intention of leaving, whereas Forlan is interested in joining us. We bought Lucio at 31 and he plays like a gladiator. Forlan still has at least three years left in his legs. Hi experience will really help us score goals.

I think Forlan is valued at around 15mil. We can afford him without a doubt after our treble last season and from the sale of Balotelli. I really can't believe we will start the new season without any new additions to our squad. Mourinho would have bought a couple of players that's for sure.

I've read that Forlan's estimated price is 15M-20M€...sounds fair to me.

I don't think this will happen, I mean he made a comment but have you ever shown any interest in him? Especially with only a few days left in the transfer market + you would have to offer an awful lot for Atletico to consider letting him go. I hope he stays at Atletico so that La Liga can maybe be more competitive this season.

We will not buy Kuyt, he has already played in Europa League against Trabzonspor and cup tied.

Some people on this form say Forlan is valued at 15-20 million euros. Cash + Muntari should do fine if Atletico is willing to get Muntari

We would probably have to pay them to take Muntari....

I'd love if we could get Forlan though. We're also being talked about with Montolivo, which I'd be in favor of as long as we make the guy get a haircut...

Forlan would be a good addition. But extremely difficult to get. Cash + muntari plus give them a freebie... that Mancini bloke.
