Godin = free + (wages 5.5m x 2tax) x 2 year = 22m/2 year or 11m/year
Andersen/Romero/Mancini = 25m + (wages 2m x 2tax) x 5year = 45m/5year or 9m/year

We can go after some young player for 3rd cb but now clearly we need experience player more than some promising who we dont know if they gonna turn into Skriniar or RRanochia

Why do we need an experienced expensive player to rot into decay on the bench meanwhile we play 90% of the time with Skriniar and De Vrij?

At first I was excited at the idea of getting godin as the first alternative to the starting duo, but I hope that doesn't mean we are selling skriniar instead.

I mean, if those figures are accurate, it makes you think godin might be a starter, cause it's hard to imagine they'd give 5 mil to a bencher.

On the other hand, it is also possible that spalletti values the experience very much and wants someone who can pass a winning and fighting spirit to the lads. Or at least I hope that's the case.

There is no sense that Godin would come to Inter as bench player. He can choose where he goes so he won't go to team that doesn't start him.

i just don't fucking care what Spalletti wants. And I hope neither Marotta.

Technically Skriniar and De Vrij is too similiar and Miranda supposed to be perfect partner for both of them and get more playing time. I bet if we sign godin he will started with Skriniar with De Vrij as rotation option, like this season everyone expevting Miranda will be starter and supposed to playing in CL more while De Vrij on the league. But then clearly he show some declined and he wanting to leave is not helping either make spalletti playing him less and less.

Our goals is to have three great CB option so we wont get headache if lose one of them due to injury or booked. Dont just look at that 5.5m figure, comparing this season Miranda and Ranocchia is earns 6m in total as backup option, thats the number we can afford and if we seen the rumour we smart enough to put Zinho as cheap 4th option since he wouldnt be too crucial if we have 3 great CB. So we definitely can afford Godin 5.5m and Zinho 500k figure.

Then we should stop targeting Mancini/Andersen as 4th CB (unless we sell de Vrij).

Putting Zinho as 4th means we destroy a talent completely. Not make sense. For that role we need someone like Rolando-type (cheap, solid and fully developed).

Look Manchester City.
Kompany, Stones, Laporte, and Otamendi.
Plus they have Mangala as 5th option.

Barcelona have Pique, Umtiti, Lenglet, and Murillo.
Plus Vermaelen as 5th option.

I don't mind we have 4 quality center back. My dream is Godin, Skriniar, De Vrij, and Kompany maybe.

Its not that Miranda has suddenly turned into a poor defender from being one of the best in the league last season. The problem is that Inter have changed their style of play to a ball playing defence which Miranda hasn't yet been able to adapt to properly. I expect the same problem with Godin, he is not the ball playing defender to suit our style. He (like Miranda) is quality in a counter attack style defence. So I must say Inter getting rid of an ageing Miranda (3m wages) only to replace him with an ageing Godin (5.5m wages) does not make much sense.

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Godin. If Inter go back to playing a counter attack style of football, Godin+Miranda could be a world class defence, as good as (if not better) than Skriniar-De Vrij.

If Miranda is leaving, then it will be great signing Godin who is still one of the best CB's. We'll have three top CB's rotating, and though its a shame that one of the younger defenders might miss out on minutes, it's still worth it, considering it's Diego Godin who will be playing instead.

Rather have him on a free when he's a proven world class player than spend 20/30mil+ on an overpriced young CB who could turn out to be shit. I'm happy we're considering this as for so many years we suffered with shit defences until Miranda, Skriniar & De Vrij.

Zinho should have been the 3rd CB who gets more playing time as he is rotated, the 4th could have been Ranocchia seeing as he wasnt / wont play or have someone who will accept being 4th CB, preferably someone older.

Miranda i am fine with leaving in the summer and Godin shouldn't have been signed.

Lol this is the only place in the world where anyone would be unhappy about signing Godin.

It's not about beeing unhappy with Godin. All of us know the quality he brings.
We have doubts what could be behind his signing. For me it's hard to believe, we give something like 5m per year to a possible backup.
I suspect behind this move we are prepared to sell Skrniar. If we sell him for more than 80m we could buy Mancini/Anderson and also Barella.
It could make sense. Our defense won't drop in quality, we upgrade our midfield and papa Zhang can pay from his pocket the fees for Politano, Vrsalijko and eventually another winger.

i don't say would be a good move but it could make sense.

We can extend Ranocchia to be 4th Cb instead zinho but its mean we need extra million.

I think we remember when we play with Lucio, Marco Materazzi, Walter Samuel, Cristian Chivu.

Lol..Imagine De Vrij Injured and Skriniar suspended. And we will play against Barcelona in Quaterfinal CL next year.

You want play with Godin and Ranocchia?

Instead 4th CB is Zinho, better go with Mancini, Romero, or Andersen.

The Four Good Center Back will make us good at tactical flexibility.

We can switch 4 to 3 man defense with real CB, not with D'Ambrosio or Ranocchia.

Most people here aren't used to or cannot grasp the fact that Inter is a top club and finally woke up to act like one.

Why everyone assumes that Godin is a replacement for Skriniar? What if we give skriniar new contract, and sell DeVrij instead?
I’m sure there’s teams out there who want DeVrij, no?

Maybe you are correct! Maybe!
But it more than evident, crystal clear, we don't have the revenue of a top club.
We don't have our own stadium, we have shit sponsors, italian TV revenues are lower than maybe every other top league and so on.
When we fix most of this problems we will spend like a top club.

But you remember, to pay that team we became nearly bankrupt. Until next summer we will pay the price for this.
It's nice to have 4 quality full backs but we have real problems in midfield.
It's like buying an expensive fur coat but we are walking with shit, old shoes full of holes.
