Let's say we use Skriniar as a replacement for Godin on the right hand side; that means we have three reserve CBs (D'Ambrosio, Darmian, and Ranocchia), two of whom are not actually CBs and one who is allegedly on their way to Genoa. Even if you factor in Kolarov as a LCB, we have zero depth at what is typically a position of strength for us.

Further, if we're going to force someone out to save money, why not Asamoah? He hasn't played in about 12 months and clearly isn't part of the team's plans with one year remaining on his contract. I'm assuming Godin didn't just fuck off to Cagliari for free, we probably paid him some cash.

This is squarely on Suning. I can't imagine Conte is telling management to get rid of a guy he started for five consecutive games to end the season. #WeAreSoPoor

You do realize that we are living in a period where PSG is signing Florenzi on loan , Bayern can't pay for Perisic and Barca is releasing Rakitic and probably/maybe Vidal too.

Just hold tight and hope for the best until the end of mercato.

As far as i can see we are just trying to not impact the core this year and add pieces to that.
We got like 33 players in the roster right now , unless magically someone goes nuts and comes with offfers for the likes of Vecino and co we should expect more of this....

If his replacement is going to be a costly defender (e.g. Kumbulla, Izzo, Acerbi) then we're just trying to get players who fit Conte's style. If his replacement is Darmian then we're simply broke and it's all on Suning.
